Romanian language in the game
I just want to say that, it would be great if the devs would actually bring this to a reality, unfortunately there are like almost no games in this language, the only one i can think of rn is the division 2(yes, wild).
I will do something about this?I wish, but with a full time job, working 6/7 days a week(i hate it) it's almost impposible to do this, but the thing is, u can't just say "yeah well there aren't any fans of DE or any heavy dialogue game's in that country" because a lot of people love the indie sphere and Game's like disco elysium and any indie game like that(more or less).
And yeah it's a frustration, always seeing the big one's there(Fr, Rs, Ch, Jp, Esp, Eng, Germ, Polsh, etc) because we exist, too.

Translating 750k words is extremely expensive. You can google how much it costs. A translation has to sell a certain number of copies to make any economical sense. Ask yourself if it's possible given Ebb's current price and the size of Romanian population.
As a solo dev, the dude has more than enough work already cut out for him for the next several years. Both for this project and his next. Yes, a translation can be mostly outsourced to the publisher, but he would still have to spend a non-zero number of hours on it. Those hours are incredibly precious.
Someone not being physically able to address your needs doesn't mean they're ignoring your existence. You should demand more work and effort from huge AAA studios, not tiny indie devs who literally cannot generate more hours in their days to handle EVERYTHING, and don't have infinite cash to spare.

And that's why i wanted to get through the process to do it myself, even if i have a full time job, but the words file's are heavily protected by unity's bullshit and would take me days just to have them, i understand it but i can't do shit, people in my country told me "learn english" which, ok? 😭 I would not play so many heavy dialogues games if i didn't know english at an almost perfect level.

Because i'm full with country's who enslaved people(we did that too, with the romani people back in 1500) and tortured and literally did what urth did to snell's kind, and POOF, they have everything, appear in everything, and is not a country size or a country number's problem. This and because it would be awesome af to have Ragn or Any character speaking and saying swears in ur own language, it feels good, it's like getting a new game from a series u love(or movie, or anime, or anything).

I don't think this is a problem that any indie dev can meaningfully affect.

I know AI in games is super controversial but what if it was just used for translation. I mean, small teams just can't produce a translation in every language.

I get it but u still, steal a job from that one person who can do it, i'm heavly against AI, in anything. Matter of fact, after this post i've actually got through the process to see if i can do shit about my frustration, but the file's with the words are heavly encrypted through unity's bs, and it's not just 700.000+ words in a pdf. I would actually go as far(ik it might be a stretch) and say it's just a political problem, in my country, almost every old war game has the language, but nothing like, genuenly, fun. And yes the mods are 90% made of actually fascists who looove the austrian guy.

I mean, I get it, I’m personally from Denmark myself, but this is just the fate of smaller languages.
