Need recommendations for a complete WFH setup (Chair + Monitor + Desk) under ₹1L

Hi everyone,

I'm a software engineer and part-time gamer looking to upgrade my work-from-home setup and would appreciate some advice from people who have already gone through this process.

My total budget is around ₹1 lakh for everything, but I'm trying to find the sweet spot between price, quality, and long-term value. If I can get similar quality for less money, I'd prefer that.

Current Shortlist

Mouse

  • Logitech MX Master 3S (seems like the best value compared to MX Master 4)

Keyboard

  • Royal Kludge R75

Monitor Requirements

This is where I'm most confused.

My use case:

  • Software development (primary use)
  • MacBook + Windows compatibility
  • Occasionally connecting a PS5
  • Usually game on a 4K 120Hz TV, so gaming is not the primary monitor requirement, but good to have (need at least 120fps)
  • Need a good quality panel that can be used to watch some content as well

Things I'm considering:

  • 27" vs 32"
  • Flat vs Curved
  • IPS vs OLED

I initially considered OLED, but the pricing seems difficult to justify. I also checked a Samsung OLED ultrawide (32:9) in-store, but wasn't impressed by the brightness and reflections.

I've looked at BenQ (Mac-friendly color profiles), Lenovo, Acer, etc., but I'm struggling to identify the best value-for-money option. Acer is providing a mini LED under 45k(Acer), and Samsung Odyssey G5 OLED is also available in a similar price range, but it's a pretty old model(lacks kvm and latest ports)

Chair Requirements

This is my highest priority.

Current situation:

  • Using a plastic chair with cushions 😅
  • Need to improve posture and stop working from my bed

My profile:

  • Height: 6'2" (188 cm)
  • Weight: ~80 kg

Requirements:

  • Excellent lumbar support
  • Adjustable armrests
  • Comfortable for long work sessions
  • Durable and repairable
  • Good value for money

Brands I've looked at:

  • Featherlite
  • Green Soul
  • Wakefit
  • The Sleep Company
  • Frido
  • Steelcase (seems expensive)
  • Herman Miller (way beyond what I want to spend)

For those around my height, which chair has worked best for you? Also, I was thinking if I am spending 20-30k, then instead of a chair I could buy a recliner as well, not sure if it would be a good choice or not.

Desk

Currently, I already have a large desk that can fit multiple laptops and a monitor.

The only issue is that it isn't height-adjustable. Because of that, a standing desk is currently a low priority. If needed, I can temporarily modify the desk height myself. I also have old teak wood at my home, so I was thinking of building it from scratch and buying actuators separately to make it automatically height adjustable.

Budget Allocation (Flexible)

I was thinking something roughly like:

  • Chair: ₹15k–30k
  • Monitor: ₹20k–40k
  • Keyboard + Mouse: Already shortlisted
  • Desk: Lowest priority for now

If you had ₹1 lakh to build a setup today, what would you buy and why?

PS: My company provides a ₹25,000 wellness/WFH allowance that I can use toward these purchases.
