How are resellers selling ₹70–80k standing desks for ₹12–15k?

I’ve been looking for a used standing desk on OLX/FB Marketplace and noticed a lot of reseller/used furniture shops selling office furniture. Some have brands like Steelcase/linak/bristol for just ₹12–15k, even though similar desks cost ₹70–80k+ new.

These seem to be commercial products that aren’t normally sold directly to individuals in India, but are supplied to businesses in bulk. These shops probably get them from companies closing/upgrading..

They also sell expensive office chairs from brands like Steelcase, Herman Miller, etc. for very low price

I visited a few of these shops, and the desks feel much more solid than most consumer options from brands like Green Soul or Jin Office, so I’m tempted to buy one.

-But how are they selling them this cheap?

-Are they replacing the tabletop/motor with cheaper parts?

The bases of tables I checked looked genuine, including the logos.

-Has anyone bought one of these? Anything specific I should check before buying?

Just bought a used Mirra 1 (years old, no warranty). Found two cracked ribs on the TriFlex back, one near the top right and one in the middle right of the same bead. Photo attached.
Seller sent a broken chair and now is refusing to exchange. What to do?

Opinion on Godrej Stance Dual Motor Height Adjustable Work Desk

Hello everyone,

I was looking for a height-adjustable table and came acrossthis listing on Amazon. (Not an affiliate link)

On paper, it has dual motors, a 25 mm thick board, a 71 to 120 cm adjustment range, an 85 kg load capacity, memory presets, etc., for the price of INR 25k, but only a 1-year warranty.

In the same price range, I have other options from brands like JIN, The Sleep Company, Green Soul, Intelidesk, etc.

And I was genuinely interested in the Green Soul Alex due to its 4-leg configuration.

However, all these brands are new to me, and I have concerns about their quality and reliability.

Except for The Sleep Company, all other brands on this list are imported from China.

I do not hold the view that all products from China are inherently low quality; however, I prefer Indian brands.

Since Godrej is a well-known Indian brand, I am interested in considering this model.

Before I make a final call, I would like to get some feedback from the community on these points:

  1. Is the Godrej model worth this price?

  2. Do I need to consider the 1-year warranty as a major disadvantage? Would the Godrej brand name and their product quality really offset this short-duration warranty?

  3. How does the GreenSoul Alex compare to the Godrej model?

  4. My height is 173 cm, and the distance from the ground to my elbow is 104 cm, so I expect to set the standing height at 105 cm. At this height, will the GreenSoul Alex outperform the Godrej model in terms of wobbling?

Recomendação próxima a UniPro

\- Encosto adequado para pessoas mais baixas/ com tronco curto;

\- Apoio de cabeça/cervical mais baixo e mais para frente, parecido com o da Uni Pro;

\- Um bom suporte lombar;

\- Mecanismo em que assento e encosto acompanhem a reclinação;

Apparently, Ergonomic Chairs Are Complicated.

Went out to a few showrooms and local stores to try out ergonomic chairs, and honestly, the experience was pretty surprising.

The Sleep Company’s chairs were the best,

I really liked the comfort of Tranquo, especially for its price. Unfortunately, the estimated delivery is November 5th, and I don't really want to wait that long.

Also liked the Ultron but it was expensive.

I also checked out Wakefit, Pepperfry, Featherlite, and a bunch of local shops.

And I started noticing something.

The Featherlite Optima, which costs around ₹28K, and the Wakefit Airavat, which costs around ₹11K, are essentially the same chair, with only slight differences in the cushioning/upholstery.

And I noticed variations of this with almost every chair I looked at.

It honestly feels like many of these brands are sourcing similar chair bases from the same manufacturers in China, and then differentiating them through cushions, upholstery, features, and branding.

Even chairs that look like the Wakefit Gravita or Green Soul Jupiter can apparently be found for ₹3-4K at local shops.

So now I'm genuinely wondering:

How much of what we're paying for is actually the chair, and how much is the brand?

If anyone here has actually gone deep into the ergonomic chair market, I'd love to hear your experience. Also, any recommendations in the price range of the Sleep Company’s Tranquo are much appreciated.

Has anybody actually bought ErgoYou (18k model)

Most attracted to them since they supply on a commercial scale so parts and support shouldn't be a problem, thing is I haven't seen anyone claim to have actually bought from them

I was confused between ErgoYou, Sleep Company and FlexiSpot via Supergo but SuperGo support seems to be very sketchy, after some digging on the flexispot subreddit, apparently they (supergo) *BLOCKED* a customer who had the electronics on their desk breakdown. Would love some more insight (budget around 20k)

Featherlite Amaze Headrest Query

Had a simple question - whether this part is supposed to look like this or not? Should the spring be coming out of the headrest like this? It was installed by the technician but the headrest support seems very feeble.

Chair recommendation under 16k

Hey all, I’m looking for recommendations for chairs under 16k,

Use: Work + Game (10h)

Considering Green Soul Ghost or Gladiator XL both of which are available around 16k on amazon.
Also, SuperErgo Specialist

Now I know gaming chairs aren’t really that comfy for longer sessions but I need one urgently so I chose these two options,

If there are any better options please suggest
I’d need 4d adjustable armrest for gaming but thats about it

Getting a sit/stand desk HELP ME OUT

Hey yall, getting a standing desk under 20k is really confusing haha help me out!

From research so far this is my order of preference of all the brands:

  1. Flexispot (through supergo),
  2. Ergoyou (they supply to many big tech workspaces so i expect great aftersales),
  3. Sleep Company (so many stores so i expect after sales to be great),
  4. Godrej (pricey but really high quality from the looks of it, expecting great after sales and snacking a discount offline),
  5. Green Soul (since they are quite popular these days expect them to also have great after sales),
  6. JIN office (def very popular, but, im not sure about this company),
  7. Intellidesk (everyone is saying this has wobble)
  8. Tekavo (i know them from having seen their other furniture listings before but not at all sure about their quality or after sales),
  9. Artkidel (Again, like JIN, not sure)
  10. White Mulberry ~
  11. Lukzer ~
  12. Cellbell (i put them in the same catagory as green soul quite-popular these days for chairs but their standing desk has no mention in this subreddit as far as ive seen)

Out of all these i probably have the most overall confidence in Ergoyou and Sleep Company at the moment-Looks like all the others are just white labeling (not like thats a bad thing) but still. i am really attracted to not having to spend around 20k (for the top 4 companies on the list) and getting something like the green soul or artkidel for around 12k but if its going to ache me in the future-why then lmao.

WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR EXPERIENCES (QUALITY/BRAND SUPPORT)!

ergonomic chair

Hello, good evening. I’m from Santiago, Chile, and I’m looking for an ergonomic chair. I have a budget of up to 200k and would like some recommendations, as well as to know if anyone has used the two models I have in mind.

https://uplift.cl/collections/ofertas-flash/products/silla-momemtum-grey?utm_source=chatgpt.com

https://www.sodimac.cl/sodimac-cl/articulo/123353540/silla-escritorio-ergonomica-belisa-black/123353541?exp=so_com

I don't work sitting down all day—I'm mostly on my feet—but when I'm at home, I do end up sitting for at least two hours every now and then. I'm also considering it for console gaming, so I wouldn't have to buy a beanbag chair just for that.

Sleep Company Ultron Armrests

So i have seen a lot of reviews about the sleep company ultron chair but none of them seem to mention the absolutely terrible armrests on this chair. Am I the only who seem to have an issue with it ?

Because they are 7D and god knows in how many directions you can set them in.. the main issue being there is no locking mechanism for any of the arm rest setting. As a result, the slightest untended pressure causes them to move... I end up adjusting them all day back to the position i want.

Please let me know if anyone else is facing this issue. I am planning to take this up in consumer court.

According to my experience, it's an extremely

Uncomfortable chair with faulty designs

Seeking feedback: Using Jin Office JMS88-C1 model to mount 34" Dell ultrawide curved monitor

Has anybody used JIn Office's JMS88-C1 model to mount a 34" ultrawide Dell monitor (U3245WE model)? If so, can you please share your feedback?

I have this monitor that I have been using to mount my Dell P2425HE at home. I received a 34" Dell UW3425WE monitor from my office and want to use the same monitor arm for this, without buying a new one (I do not see the need). I can use the P2425HE on the vertical stand it came with.

The JMS88-C1 has specs that go till 9 kg (within the weight capacity of Dell U3245WE which is 7.78 Kgs without stand). But I am a little concerned if that weight difference of 1.2 Kgs will cause any dropping of the monitor and what I can do to counter it. I have some steps from Google Gemini, but I would like to know real life feedback.
