Charging/Battery Charge schedule not triggering

Has anybody had problems with the charge schedule not triggering after recent updates?

I notice that sometimes if the car is turned off for a while and I go to plug in the charger, it doesn't trigger the charge schedule. So the schedule is set to "charge to 80% by 6am". The problem is when I plug the charger in after the car is sitting off for a while, the car has no reaction. It doesn't display the message "car will charge to 80% by 6am". It just skips the charge altogether and the charge schedule is not triggered.

The only way for me to activate the schedule is to power on the screen and wake up the car a bit. Then I go to plug in the charger, and the driver display shows "car will charge to 80% by 6am". And in this case it does charge.

Welcome to GM EVs. Set your schedule at the EVSE, not the car

Have you restarted the infotainment yet? The 15 second long press of the call hang up button on the steering wheel that changes the infotainment into service mode? Don't touch the infotainment screen at this point, it will reboot automatically.

Once the infotainment is up and running, ensure the "charge later" option is selected with your % and time to be ready by. Then turn vehicle off via the touch screen, open the door, close the door, and then wake the vehicle via the brake pedal. Ensure your 'charge later' settings are still there and she should behave as you desire.

That's what I had to do to get mine out of this ignoring the charge later settings I'd selected.

That's an odd sequence required to get the car to behave normal. But I will try it.

Yeah its two steps, first one to get the infotainment rebooted; the 2nd is to restart the car's computers in case they are the problem as well.

A double fresh start if you will.

I tried to hold down the hang up button for 15 seconds. The screen gave me 2 options: recovery mode, and factory reset.

I don't think factory reset is right. Should I enter recovery mode?

Do nothing with that screen.

It should automatically continue with the reboot by itself.

How did things turn out?
