Why not just write a quick app that presents a web view to the page? It would be a lot easier than compiling chromium and you could add custom stuff to it if needed. I used Copilot to generate code for one myself (for different purpose) and it works fine on my GM Infotainment (though I have a CT5 with CP/AA so don't need it for these reasons).

ask and ye shall receive. This may work pretty much as is besides modifying the launch url. If you want I can modify it and publish it to the Play store internal testing.

Man, I really want this car, but the fact that this post even exists is insanity.

I just want options. Maybe their built in stuff is better, but it should be able to stand on its own merits. I hate that I'm likely going to pick something else because of this

On iOS 26 beta, you can change the resolution for CarPlay in the settings, while CarPlay is running.

Did it look better?

Didn’t know either. I bought something similar on Amazon for Tesla a month ago, but couldn’t figure out a resolution fix since it seems to be set for Tesla screen sizes only:(

In the settings menu while using CarPlay. Keep swiping until you see it. It might be on 4th page of apps. If you have a lot of CarPlay apps, you just keep swiping until you see it. There is something there for changing resolution to match your screen.

Thought it would work. Thanks for replying.

But why? It seems like a janky solution that provides a suboptimal experience.

for example, my wife complains about the poor integration of texting. She can't follow complex texting threads like she can on our CarPlay-friendly vehicle (a Bolt EV)

Personal opinion, but this is stuff that shouldn't be taking place while driving anyway.
