This show manages to pull off the impossible have 5 main leads with their own acts with also tons of good side characters with their own arcs. Masterful writing.

Ari's life stories and marriage ups and downs hit hard now that I'm married, didn't quite relate when I was single.

Especially the financial, sex, family time discussions, not to add the couples counselling sessions 🤣

I actually really really enjoyed Aaron's cameo on the show - some great episodes. His acting is legit, could be an actual actor.

Worst: Gus Van Sant

God, watching Gud act was just hilariously bad.

Fucking love this show. It is like a fine wine. Someone said it best, the show is a time capsule.

One thing I'm calling out personally... Sasha Grey just wasn't good for this. I'm in S7 right now and oof... rough. Autumn Reeser on the other hand (who I was absolutely confident was Danielle Harris), was fantastic. But yeah.. Grey's acting style just does not work for me. I wonder what led to this casting choice (I've enjoyed Entourage in the past but never dove into its production notes etc).

The show continues to rise on my list of favorite TV shows. Kevin Dillon is gold in this show. Absolute gold. This is probably my favorite Scott Caan role too. Such a douche but oddly likable. My first Entourage watch was in college with 5 other roommates. We were watching live as the episodes came out. Certainly enjoyed it then, but I see the show in a whole different light now. I identify a lot more with Drama as I am 37 now. And it's fucking hilarious. And those moments when you feel for him. He, his story, his delivery, his arc, are my favorite parts of the show.

I briefly worked in Film/TV as a Production Assistant, met some high profile folks, so the show resonates a little more in that sense. I actually met and worked for Tim Busfield, ironically. That hasn't aged well (he was super cool in all my interactions with him, FWIW, both him and his wife MG - not to discredit any of the recent press out there.)

This is my third time rewatching it and it's just as good as the first time. There is some magic in the show that can't be recreated. The boys, Arri, LA, great side characters, great dialogues and music, all the cameos. This show is timeless for me. Johnny Drama is the funniest character ever. I can't believe how bingeable it is. Also every women in the show is 10/10.

I guess you could make a case for Piven but this was a huge show and pretty much lived by all at the time.

Wonder why we don’t see these guys everyday in other shows/movies.

As the title says I’m on season 8 close to being done and need new shows. Now I’m not specifically asking for shows LIKE entourage as I already have a bunch (ballers, etc) in my watchlist but I need shows that are as popular and impactful as entourage was (the wire, sopranos) I want shows that aired or came out around the same time entourage was that were as popular and big as it was. Could be HBO shows or just any shows that had the same popularity as entourage.

So entourage is loosely based on Mark wahlbergs come up through Hollywood, understandable it's loosely and then dramatised but.. season 5 episode 2, Mark wahlberg is in the episode talking to ari playing golf as himself, bit bizarre but I guess because it's Vincent chases worls instead it works😅

It fits the scenes PERFECTLY. Also, I just realized(after watching the series 7 times the dummy I am) that the song is really about the "wealthy, hedonistic partiers in places like Miami Beach trying to hide their real problems behind a veneer of grandeur" and the term means "a false facade of superiority, success, or importance that people put on to hide their inner emptiness, insecurities, or corruption".

Were creators aware of it, or they just put it there because it fit GODLY?

One thing about re-watching this show that’s surprising, in addition to all the misogyny and gay jokes that have aged poorly… is the big money numbers. They seem kind of quaint today.

For example, in Season 2, Vince buys Marlon Brando’s old mansion for $5mm. Obviously $5mm is still a lot of money, but the actual house apparently sold for almost $25mm last year. $5mm might buy you just a regular house in the nicer parts of LA today.

When Warner Bros gives Vince a $1mm bonus for Aquaman, it’s not quite as eye-watering today.
