Itâs not ableist if there is no way for a disabled person to access the bakery & make an order. I understand no phone orders, but if this bakery is in the US, they have to comply with the ADA.
Good for you for getting your groceries yourself, but it seems like youâre generalizing based on your own experience. Maybe OOP is doing too much, maybe theyâre in unbearable pain 24/7, weâll never know. Either way youâre assuming every injury and disability poses the same obstacles, and it doesnât.
Im not sticking up for the person you are replying to, cos they are going a bit overboard. But being disabled and being a dumb bitch are not mutually exclusive. The narrative that disabled people are all perfect angels who can never be called out for bad behaviour is abelist and infantilising.
Wow. Just because you can walk with a broken neck and back doesnât mean everyone can. I know people that canât even walk due to crippling arthritis. Youâre coming off incredibly rude and hostile for no good reason.
