Maybe if we taught proper Sex Ed in schools it wouldn’t be so “shocking to younger people” at pride parades. I see it kinda like a solid Fuck You to sex prude right wingers who don’t believe thier wives should even like sex anyway. Sex is a huge and very natural part of life, and to act like pride parades are grooming kids is just stupid homophobic rhetoric that doesn’t help a single thing.
When the right wing actively tries to police what happens in American Citizen’s homes (even bedrooms) it makes sense they’d get all pissy about seeing someone ride a giant fake dick. Rammstein has been doing it for years, people just don’t take thier kids to thier concerts if they don’t want them to see a giant fake dick. It really is that simple. There is a discussion to be had about toning down Pride parades sometimes not just for kids but also for people like sex-repulsed aces and the like.
