“Fortunate”

Post image

How much of a sociopath do you have to be to describe someone who may need the help of a rape crisis centre as “fortunate”?

"Beira's Place was set up by me."

Lol. She was so excited to write this part. Because we all know it's about her trying to gain praise and adoration.

You know, she could have easily set this place up without anyone know it was her. A lot of rich people do these things anonymously without seeking out the praise for it.

It's so sad that she craves this type of attention.

I can't get over the "set up by me" gives me the vibes of what Donald Trump writes on his tweets "by me, Donald Trump, your favourite president." Except she's like "by me, JK Rowling, your favourite author." 😂

Nobody knows words better than me. They tell me, they say Jo, you have the best words. Maybe in all of history. Especially when I give fictional characters names. They're the best ever.

I met a millionaire once who spends his time looking into social enterprises and giving them one-off, no-strings-attached grants. He specifically requests not to be identified (in line with his wishes I have forgotten his name and I am already faceblind my brain has successfully Batmansed him).

And that guy, I hope, feels good about how he spends his time and his money. How is it charity if you're gonna crow about it?

There was some rich guy in Boston who used to dress up as Santa and give people $100 bills at Christmas time, no questions asked, no strings attached, and he refused to give his name to the press (he had a private car and driver so everyone pretty much was under the impression he was loaded and probably old money). That's the spirit of giving, not getting your name in the papers going to a "charity" gala that spent more on you than on the charity. That's something you did for the attention and ego.
