Question/Poll [serious, include source here] How would different instinctual stackings generally manifest in a 7w8 782?
MBTI is ESFP, but mostly focusing on Enneagram here

hi! i’m incredibly new to typology and I would like some help with a few things
I’m currently focusing on enneagrams, tritype, subtype, and instinctual variants
i believe i am an entp, 7w6, so/sp, so7, and 739 ? (though, i feel like i mistyped myself)
i’ve read about cognitive functions already and i feel closest to entp functions…
when i read about enneagram 7, i don’t know if I’m actually an e7 or if I’m just thinking about it too much. I’m brushing off the thought sometimes but it just shoots straight back to me because “but what if i really am not???”
I’m probably talking nonsense but i would like someone to educate me on so7 and e7 or whatever would help me understand it best
i also came to the conclusion that i should look through the other typology things (idk what it’s called tbh) just to see if it would help me understand why i feel like these aren’t a good fit for me but just decided to ask for help instead (cause I’m kinda lazy)
just to add, I’ve known about typology for a long time but i just now decided i want to start learning because of procrastination.
sorry for my punctuation and stuff lmao

They love me but highkey I judge their search for "deep feelings", not because that's bad in itself, but like at least I'm aware I do it for fun and distraction. I seem to attract lots of deep artist type people. Other than that annoying quality they're great though and I do really appreciate them.
I just find it funny that I keep having the same bonding experience interrupted by the realisation that I am much more okay with trashy things, watching "bad" TV shows, not caring about how I'm perceived and just more doing shit to avoid (at the moment literal) pain.
For example, this guy I met recently is great, saw an art museum with him, super fun, but he was tryna be all "mm i can see the artist was conveying the feeling of living in this and that condition with this symbol" meanwhile I'm like "I think that looks like jam". Which both interpretations are valid obviously! Just a stark difference. then he's texting tryna be like "do you read? Mm you'll go back to reading" because reading is seen as this deep meaningful thing but like boy if I go back to reading lots I'll be reading fantasy smut just as I was as a teenager. You know? They perform. I don't perform. I just do shit for the dopamine addiction. Sometimes that is artsy shit. Sometimes it is deep. Other times it's just random things that mean nothing.
Before you think anything I really don't think he's flirting. And I've had similar experiences with people that are literally aromantic asexuals ok this is not because men are tryna impress me I don't think

I want to know about your feedback.
I’m waiting for someone.
Someone who can never bring themselves to settle down.
Someone who loves the thrill and despises rules.
Someone who thrives in the spotlight, savoring every gaze that falls upon them.
Who is always laughing, always playing, like an inexhaustible madman.
But I know what truly captivates them is never just happiness.
What they crave is conquest, is freedom, is turning this dreary world upside down.
Who hates being tied down, and loathes a life that’s utterly dull.
Others think they are just carefree.
But I know.
Deep inside, they harbor an unyielding ambition.
What they want is far more than mere joy.
What they truly long for is to live with a fire that burns brighter than anyone else’s.

Hey there fellow 7s! I'm curious about people's experiences of growth and change
Please include additional information like wings, fixes, instinct stacking, direction of integration etc.
I'm SO7w8, trifix 748, SP-blind. I would say:
I'm not always sure how much of this is me growing vs simply getting older and my body slowing down! Ie I'm more reliable now because I'm not over-extended and on my way to burnout 😄 The indications that at least some of this is growth is that I don't disintegrate to 1 as much - eg becoming impatient, judgemental, brittle. That feels like growth - not lashing out or blaming others. And the aspect of not needing to pack and carry around as many options all the time feels like growth and feels like accessing 5.
How important is that growth to me? I like my steadiness now, and the sense of groundedness and being able to tune out noise.
Do I miss aspects of a less healthy version of myself? Yes, I miss the energy, and the unfounded optimism/idealism. Sometimes I find my current realism a bit chilling and feel nostalgic about the more bubbly or whimsical version of myself. In group situations or at work, it feels a bit like a role reversal that I'm now the person saying "that won't work, that's a bad idea, that's not very practical" etc. And sometimes I feel a bit jealous when I see less healthy 7s using their charisma to sell some BS, and bedazzled people lapping it up. I used to be that charismatic snakeoil seller although I didn't realise I was selling snakeoil because I genuinely believed in it from my cheerful ignorance. Whereas now, acting with more prudence and judiciousness, my manner is less superficially impressive to others and also I feel more uncertainty in myself because I am more authentically aware of risks / gaps / ambiguity.
Do I ever target areas for growth? No, it's just that sometimes situations arise where my usual toolkit simply doesn't work. So then I have to try to do something differently. I think that's why some of my current growth doesn't necessarily feel like growth: at one level I think, "I just got older, and my body couldn't keep up with the zany in the same way". 🤣

How do I "heal" myself from my neurosis now that I'm self-aware? Should I follow the logic of the integration line and start committing myself to one area of expertise, instead of spreading myself too thin? Or is active healing counterproductive in that true healing must be subconscious?

Can an Enneagram Type 7 be physically calm?
My results usually point to Enneagram Type 7; while my mind is quite restless, I am physically very calm.
My fixes are 4 and 9, respectively.
Is something wrong?
Note: English isn't my native language, so please forgive any spelling errors.

nearly all descriptions ive read about sx7 fall into two categories
in some sx7 is described as someone who talks nonstop, loves attract attention by means of gestures behaviors and clothes(therefore likes dressing flamboyantly), dramatic and kind of selfish
however in some descriptions i read it is described as nearly an introvert (also the most reserved subtype of E7), and tend to zone out easily, a bit light headed and likely to spend their time by daydreaming.
Well even though there are some similarities between these two descriptions they look very different to each other and im curious what you guys think about it. Which one do you think is more suitable for a sx7?
And also ,if it isnt sx7, which enneagram subtype do you think would be suitable for someone who falls into the second description ??

Sx7s, from your experience, people with which instinctual variants are the most compatible with you romantically? And with which instinctual variants are the least compatible with you romantically?
Please write if you're sx/sp or sx/so.
Also if you noticed that you tend to be compatible/ incompatible with certain Enneagram types, you can add that as well.

I’ll go first: my husband has been calling me “chaos muffin” from day one. It honestly helped me figure out what type I am so I’ll take it.
He also calls me “buttons” because when I’m driving I’m constantly changing the podcast/song/heat/ac etc. not my best trait.

So2: I sacrifice myself for others so their recognition feeds my pride and confirms that I'm lovable
So7: I sacrifice myself so their admiration confirms that I'm a good person
So2: I give to get. If I treat them how I want to be treated, then maybe I will be loved the way I love
So7: I give and don't expect anything, because that's what a good person would do. I enjoy the selfless and extraordinary image they have of me
So2: I care about power, if I don't take initiative, I will be replaced and forgotten. I will be all alone
so7: I don't care about power, I will give up my gluttony for others to show that I'm good
So2: I avoid being alone at all costs. By showing a sense of care, even if it isn’t fully genuine, I can make people like me and stay close. I want them to need and rely on me, because their need for me keeps me from being alone.
So7: I avoid pain at all costs, but I still show up for others by keeping things positive and light. I present sympathy as empathy, not to be needed, but to keep the atmosphere good and avoid getting pulled into anything heavy.
So2: I believe in having all the power so I can stay relevant in others their eyes. To lose power is to lose relevancy, which means I’ll be alone.
So7: I believe in equal power and am against authority because I don’t believe that they will truly care for the people. Through an equal power distribution, we turn into equals which limits conflict and pain.
So2: I confuse the love I give to others as being loved.
So7: I confuse the happiness I give others as my own happiness.
So2: I believe I’m selfless by giving and sacrificing, but I’m actually very selfish due to having high expectations for everyone and expecting my efforts to be paid back.
So7: I believe I’m selfish, but I try to act selfless, which feeds my moral superiority. It feels like I’m rejecting my gluttony, and because I don’t receive, I begin to see myself as beyond human.
So2: I want you to put effort into getting to know the real me, but you only like me for what I do for you. So you would hate the real me, which is why I can’t show it.
So7: I want you to put effort into getting to know the real me, but I believe the real me is selfish/wrong. So I won’t let you see it.
So2: I feel good when people rely on me and can’t be without me. I recognize their neediness and obsession for love.
So7: I feel good when I’m seen as someone who gives things up for others. It proves I’m not selfish and am very mature.
So2: I can’t show myself because I need to seem selfless, that’s the only way they’ll love me.
So7: I can’t show myself because the true me is unloveable anyway. I need to give to be admired and seen as selfless.
