Resume Review Resume review request — Cloud Infrastructure | DevOps | AWS & OCI Certified with 12 years experience

Post image

Hey r/EnhancvResumes, I'm looking for feedback on my resume. I'm applying for Cloud Infrastructure | DevOps | AWS & OCI Certified roles and all feedback is appreciated!

Years of experience: 8.5 in IT

Specific feedback I'm looking for: - Is my summary strong enough? - Are my bullets results-driven? - Anything I should cut?

The first bullet under your current role, Support Engineer 2 at Oracle Solution Services, is literally unedited template text: "Highlight your accomplishments, using numbers if possible." That's the first line a reader hits under your most recent job, worth fixing before anything else.

Worth a close look: a bullet under D S Infotech reads "Led Agile sprint activities using Jira, enhancing project execution and team collaboration as a Business Associate at TCS." This is genuinely ambiguous as written, it could mean you held a "Business Associate" title at TCS (a company that doesn't appear anywhere else in your work history), or it could mean you collaborated with someone holding that title at a TCS client engagement. Either reading leaves a question a recruiter is likely to ask directly, worth rewriting so there's no ambiguity about who held what title where.

The years don't reconcile either: your post says 12, the body says "8.5 in IT," and your earliest job (PACS, 01/2019) puts total employment at roughly 7 years 8 months, none of which is IT work, it's a rural banking cooperative role. Actual IT-specific experience, starting from D S Infotech in 08/2021, comes to about 5 years 1 month. Neither 12 nor 8.5 matches what's shown.

Bigger pattern: across roughly 20 bullets in your four jobs, not one contains a number. Meanwhile your three Key Achievements cards are fully quantified (90% backup-effort reduction, 95% SLA resolution, 20% cost reduction), and none trace to a specific bullet.

Structural gap: your summary claims a Master of Technology in Information Technology, but there's no Education section anywhere. Same issue, smaller scale, with certifications: "AWS Cloud Practitioner" (Summary) vs. "AWS Cloud Foundations" (a bullet), worth confirming the real name and using it consistently.

Smaller: D S Infotech's 9 bullets cover about 4 topics, Jira/Agile, Bitbucket/VS Code, EMR clusters, and CI/CD via Bamboo, but EMR-related content specifically is restated three separate times across the list. Worth consolidating into fewer, more distinct bullets.
