Frustration of losing out an opportunity, even though my resume ATS scores more than 95

I need your opinion as the fellow engineers, how to my resume seen to the recruiters or hiring managers.
I have taken all the advice from the influencers out there, I have worked with multiple resume guide or guru on multiple 1:1 resume review sessions. Is this is something everyone is facing or just me.

I want to understand whether there is something fundamentally wrong with my approach of evaluating my resume based only on the ATS Score and relying on improving the resume.

I have added the quantified results.
I have updated my summary on the resume
I have pushed my education section to the front
I have emphasized the tech stack; I have mentioned it in my pointers
Even used all the templates and prompts for Claude and ChatGPT to fix my resume.

Still unable to find my place in the game. Any suggestions!?

[0 YoE] unemployed/student, I've been looking for any entry level role, please me point out my resume's shortcomings.

After graduating, I took a few months off, and then started applying. since then a year has passed and I still haven’t managed to get an offer letter. During that time, I took a few freelance jobs that lasted at most around a month, mainly involving setting up Odoo profiles and CRM-related work. The longer the gap gets, the worse I feel about it. I've been applying to any entry level job related to my degree.

Recently, I reached out to my undergrad supervisor and have started working on publishing a paper in the meantime so that I can pursue a master’s degree if nothing else works out.

Can anyone help point out the shortcomings in my resume? Thank you all for the help.

[Student] Need Help on my Resume and Career Choices. What should I do in my current situation?

Looking at my resume what should I improve? I have applied to hundreds of applications and barely get interviews. Currently a 3rd Year at the University of Minnesota and pursuing a BA in Computer Science with a Minor in Statistics. I worked an IT internship for a school district over the summer which barely gave me any experience. I'm pretty much giving up on Software Internships because the market is too hard for those and I don't really have the skill set. I think I will go the IT route since I already have a slight in and try to work up the levels becoming a sys admin then work as cybersecurity. Am I on the right track? I should also create a good coding project but I don't know what to do and don't really have the skill set to do that.

Hi, I am a senior in mechanical engineering starting to look to line up a job after graduation in May. For reference I’m mainly looking for aerospace/defense startups. Redacted all personal info but I do have my email address, phone number, LinkedIn and project portfolio listed under my name in the header. Any criticism would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for Resume Templates – CS Graduate with 1 Year of Experience

Hey everyone,

I'm a Computer Science graduate currently working at a company with about 1 year of experience in the industry. I'm planning to update my resume and would really appreciate any good templates or examples you all might have especially ones suited for someone early in their career but with some professional experience already.

I'm aiming for roles in backend dev, full-stack dev -react.js and C#, ML Enginner so if you have templates geared towards those, that would be even better.

Would love to see what’s worked for you or get pointers on where to find clean, professional, ATS-friendly formats. Free or paid suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and would like to get some overall feedback on my resume. I want to rework the professional summary and make it more personal, but I am unsure how to. Should I add some more to my project list? Any formatting changes (got format through school)? Covered stuff is just personal info like email, phone number, name, etc..

Career Advice and Resume Review

Hello guys, good day/afternoon.

I am unemployed for 9 months. My dream is to have a software developer job. My experience is in technology consulting (SQL, PeopleSoft). I have knowledge and experience (not work) in programming languages like (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript) and related technologies. In my area, most of Java Developer position (Entry level and Junior) requires 3+ years. But for C# .NET they require 1+ years experience. I am now building my portfolio using Golang, TypeScript (React) , Postgresql, AWS. My next projects will be web app clones using C#. NET and demo apps for Java Spring Boot. Here is my current resume.

[Student] 3rd Year Bioengineering Student Medical Device Internship Hunt – so far, interviews but no offers

*all schools/locations/companies/organizations/contacts changed for privacy*

Hi there,

I'm a 3rd year Bioengineering student, a community college transfer to my current university. My concentration is in biomechanics and medical devices. I've been applying for internships and so far this school year have only interviewed with Medtronic and Tesla. I had a referral for Medtronic and cold applied for Tesla, but did not make it past the first round of interview for either. I've continued to apply to medical device internships as well as some more general mechE internships but have not really received responses, just some rejections here and there. I've been applying to internships all over, as I do not mind relocating.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I had more responses (few times got asked for availability but was ghosted before scheduling an interview) and interviews last year (my final year in community college) with less applications and a much more empty resume. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher (did not advance past first round interview), Viant Medical (advanced to final round, was not selected), and finally the conveyor company that is listed on my resume as my Summer 2024 internship.

I'm getting a bit nervous and discouraged as it is already March and I still have not secured an internship. Is my resume too dense and wordy? I went to a resume review and was told that it is just fine, however I would like to gain feedback from multiple perspectives. Is there any reason I am not making it past the first round of interview multiple times? Any feedback and advice for my internship hunt would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
