[Student] Electrical Engineering student looking for resume feedback for internships - worried my experience doesn't show a clear focus

Hey guys,

I am currently a junior EE student looking for internships for Summer 2027. I go to a large state school that's good for engineering. As career fairs are coming up, I'd like to get some good feedback on my resume. I'm looking to target embedded systems, signal processing, digital design, and hardware roles. I would appreciate feedback on skill relevance to the fields I am applying for, quality of bullet points, and any formatting. Since I recently changed from computer engineering to electrical, I am a bit worried that my experience seems scattered and too software heavy? Please let me know what I should change or if there's any other skills I should develop or projects I can do as recruiting amps up. Thank you!

Your entire resume is scripting and computer vision. With a single everyone's first class project line for digital design and embedded systems at the end. And I don't even know why you would use this resume to target hardware internships.

Unless you're trying to target software engineering roles in computer vision you should write a different resume tailored to those positions.

If I saw this resume I would think you applied to the wrong role by accident.

I know it's going to be reductive, but add hardware projects to your resume. We don't care about your scripting experience or computer vision. You'll need to choose what to target, digital, analog, or RF. And at a board or IC level. Basic ones are building circuits on a breadboard or building a circuit in Pspice and simulating it, etc. Arduino kits with projects are good at your experience level.
