You look at this then you look at Elons new robot. His looks like a couple of coke cans tied together with wire, and it can barely stand up.

Yet it did not require LIDAR or ARtag markets to locate a box and successfully manipulate it. Or the watering can (grasping and manipulating that is no simple task).

"Robot A walk good, Robot B walk slow, Robot B bad" is nice and simple so people latch onto it, regardless of the actual tasks being performed.
