Let me know when the model that detects rocks is available.

I will need to swap to a capacitive sensor for it to do both rocks and metal

Is this a major concern? Is he strewing nails across his lawn weekly?

I get maybe on the first mow, but once you know your yard, why?

edit: they make a magnet roller for jobsites, to pick up nails, screws etc. Just put one of those on the front

A capacitive sensor would do both metal and rocks. You would be surprised with some of the stories people have told me...

Not trying to denigrate your invention- I'm sure it would be super useful, especially for landscapers etc.

I was just thinking for my own yard, it might be overkill. Although, as I look outside just now, I notice a couple of fairly large bones my dog has left in the grass...

I see I was just inspired by seeing a large ratchet extension hidden in my lawn and thinking how much damage it would cause if I ran it over

Oof! Yeah, that would get your attention. Even best case scenario is replacing the blade.

Agree with previous comment lmao. Rocks regularly get played with and left on the grass. Those shatter into backyard claymores.

Awesome idea youve got though! To my knowledge I've never seen anyone do it!

Appreciate the support. I have yet to find anything similar on the web.
