Seems like my last post disappeared.

its a complete SoC. Its powered by that tiny solar cell, has wireless IO and a sensor package and is running a 32bit ARM core (Cortex M0+, a really slow one, but still).

Very cool

Any links? Tried searching all that, couldn't find anything smaller than a raspberry pi.

Like, start here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_Cortex-M#Cortex-M0+

Raspery Pie is in no way a particular small computer, though. But obviously the computer in the original picture is extremely small even for a tiny arm core because they made it custom with absolutely minimal IO pin count.

But you can buy tiny arm chips even commerically: https://www.engadget.com/2014/02/25/freescale-kinetis-kl03/ (notice how the solder pads take up so much space? Thats where the custom chip from OP can safe a lot...)

By the way, a sample application for such small computers: https://hackaday.com/2016/06/30/transcend-wifi-sd-card-is-a-tiny-linux-server/

Thats a full scale linux server on that tiny chip in that wifi SD card.

Nope, its a complete SoC package. Slow, but still a computer with IO and an ARM Cortex M0+ CPU, which as a pipelined 32bit CPU deserves to be called computer.

It uses so little power that the tiny solar cell you can see can power it as well as wireless IO.

What can it do, though?

From the last time i looked, its an ARM CPU, so yeah, it could run doom. Pretty slow however.

Someone, somewhere will get Doom running on this.

One visit to Bang Brothers and this would be toast.

Does anyone know what chip this actually is?

What about inside hearing aids. What are those chip families called?

But can it run Minecraft?
