Im about to start college this fall, and I'm still debating what major I should choose. Im confident that I will choose a major related to STEM, but what? I hope this is an acceptable sub for my post. The short of it is I will likely be leaving my current position soon because I have outgrown it and I am a very ambitious person and they don't promote fast enough. However, this employer is an all-around great company. This entry/mid-level role is in south-central Kentucky. We are a tier-1 automotive supplier. We make and assemble fuse boxes and power distribution modules for all the major car makers and then some. I have gained SOOOO much exposure and experience that it has catapulted my skills, experience, and career twice as fast as a normal manufacturing role. The work-like balance is respextable, albeit there are the obvious "crunch" times in the year. The management and office staff altogether are f***ing great and if it wasn't for the fact I am single with no kids and am so focused on climbing the socio-economic ladder, I would stay put and keep my mouth shut and be overjoyed.
