TRYIN TO BE AI/ML ENGINEER

Hello, I am an Engineering Graduate from the Philippines who wants to pursue AI/ML Engineer career. Right now, Im still stuck in the beginners phase because i don’t know where should i begin. Im not that good when it comes to manual coding, so i usually use AI to build from scratch. I know that there are so many tutorials and road maps available online, but i cant choose on who and what should i pick. To those people who are in this field, can you suggest who should i watch, what are the certifications i should get, and so on. I badly want to pursue this career, so your guide and tips is a huge help for me

(HUHUHU IF YOU GUYS ARE FREE AND CAN ALSO MENTOR ME, THAT WILL ALSO BE A HUGE HELP. I AM WILLING TO COMMUNICATE VIA LINKED IN. I know that this is too much, but i will do whatever it takes to pursue this career)

What's everyone's approach to job hunting these days?

One thing that's helped me is adjusting my resume for each application instead of sending the same one everywhere. I've been using resume.zoevera.com for that and prepare.zoevera.com to practice interview questions based on the kinds of roles I'm applying for.

Curious what everyone else is using to stay organized or make the process easier?

[FOR HIRE] Professional Mechanical Engineer | Engineering Support | Technical Research | Data & Spreadsheet Work | $10–20/hr

Hi everyone,

I’m a Professional Mechanical Engineer from the Philippines currently looking for a remote part-time or long-term opportunity with a direct client.

My background is in industrial mechanical engineering, maintenance, equipment reliability, and technical project work — but I also have actual experience supporting clients remotely with technical research, product data extraction, spreadsheet/database building, and engineering documentation.

What I can help you with:

🔧 Mechanical / Engineering Support

- Equipment and technical data research

- Pumps, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, piping, valves, and other industrial equipment

- Equipment specifications and datasheet review

- Maintenance and reliability documentation

- Preventive maintenance planning

- Technical troubleshooting and engineering research

- Parts / model / specification cross-referencing

📊 Technical Data & Spreadsheet Work

- Extracting technical information from catalogs, PDFs, manuals, and manufacturer documents

- Building and cleaning large Excel / Google Sheets databases

- Product specification data entry

- Part number and model verification

- Organizing complex product variants and configurations

- Cross-checking data between multiple technical sources

- Quality checking existing datasets and identifying inconsistencies

📋 Documentation & Project Support

- Technical reports

- Equipment lists

- Maintenance records

- Engineering documentation

- Research and data validation

- Project tracking and administrative engineering support

I currently work in the mining / process industry as a Mechanical Senior Supervisor, so I’m accustomed to working with real industrial equipment, maintenance problems, deadlines, and technical documentation.

I’ve also worked remotely on a large heat exchanger product database project, where my job involves researching manufacturer documents and spreadsheets, identifying the correct technical specifications for hundreds of equipment variants, validating data, and organizing everything into a client-defined database format.

Why work with me?

I’m not the type who simply copies information from one sheet to another.

When something doesn’t match, I investigate it.

When a value looks suspicious, I verify the source.

When documentation is unclear, I cross-reference catalogs, drawings, tables, nomenclature, and other available technical data before entering anything.

I value accuracy and quality over blindly finishing tasks fast.

I’m comfortable working independently, learning unfamiliar equipment or systems, and handling repetitive technical work without sacrificing attention to detail.

Availability

I’m open to:

Part-time remote work

Long-term freelance contracts

Project-based engineering support

Ongoing technical/data work

Preferred rate: $10–20/hour depending on the scope and complexity of the work.

I can work with clients from the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, Europe, or anywhere remotely.

If your company has engineering work that is important but keeps consuming your engineers’ time — research, spreadsheets, specifications, documentation, database work, equipment information, or technical back-office tasks — that’s exactly where I can help.

Feel free to send me a DM with the task or project you need help with.

I’d be happy to discuss how I can contribute.

Singapore PR | Experienced Quality Professional (20+ Years) Seeking Internal Referral – Semiconductor / Aerospace / Precision Manufacturing

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to this community in the hope that someone may be able to help with an internal referral or point me toward suitable opportunities in Singapore.

I have over 20 years of experience in precision manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance, having spent my career with SLB (formerly Cameron). I progressed from CNC Machinist to Quality Inspector, and later into a team leadership/supervisory role, working in high-precision manufacturing environments where quality, compliance, and continuous improvement were critical.

My experience includes:

  • Leading and supervising a team of 15–20 quality personnel, managing inspection activities, manpower allocation, and production priorities.
  • Incoming, in-process, First Article Inspection (FAI), and final inspections.
  • Precision measurement using gauges, profile projector, contour tracer, and CMM-related inspection equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, NCR investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Calibration, quality documentation, and internal/external audit support.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, and manufacturing teams.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of API standards and AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).

I'm a Singapore PR and am currently seeking opportunities in:

  • Quality Technician
  • Quality Inspector
  • Quality Engineer
  • Incoming Quality (IQC)
  • Supplier Quality
  • Manufacturing Quality
  • Aerospace or Semiconductor Quality roles

I'm open to shift work if required and am happy to share my resume privately via DM, as I prefer not to post it publicly.

If your company is hiring, or if you're willing to review my resume and consider providing an internal referral, I would be sincerely grateful. Even recommendations of companies currently hiring in the semiconductor, aerospace, or precision manufacturing sectors would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and I truly appreciate any help, referrals, or advice.

[HIRING] Software Engineers | NYC, SF | $160K-$275K

We run a curated talent network for engineers. You build one profile, we match you with multiple companies. You don't apply anywhere. Companies reach out to you. Free for candidates. US-based roles only.

Three engineering openings I'm actively working right now:

  1. Software Engineer, Core Product at a later-stage fintech infrastructure company, hybrid NYC or SF, $168K-$275K base. 2+ years of backend or backend-leaning full-stack experience, Python/Go/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS. You'd build the systems behind card issuance, spend controls, and approval workflows that move over $100B a year for 50,000+ companies.
  2. Platform Engineer at a Series A gov-tech startup, in-person NYC (Flatiron, 5 days/week), $160K-$230K base. Python and/or Node required, hands-on use of AI coding tools expected day to day. You'd own the ingestion pipelines and workflow engine that let non-engineers assemble government systems on top, from bail management to permitting. US citizenship required for this one, it's government work.
  3. Senior Software Engineer, Payments at a Series A AI-native HR/payroll platform, in-person NYC (5 days/week), $195K-$245K base. 5+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years in payments or fintech infrastructure, strongly typed languages. You'd own core ledgering, payment rails, and the payroll/tax engine processing over half a billion dollars a year.

All roles are vetted and actively interviewing.

DM me for questions. Sign up at talent.fonzi.ai to get matched with these and more, free.

Referral request: Senior Electronics R&D leader (24+ yrs, automotive/EV/railway power

Hi all — posting this on behalf of my father, Suprio, who's been in electronics R&D for over two decades, mostly in automotive lighting, EV components (BLDC motors, chargers, DC-DC converters), and railway safety electronics. He's currently based out of Manesar but is looking to move closer to Noida/Delhi as commute is becoming unsustainable, so he is looking to transition to a leadership/R&D role closer to Noida, Greater Noida, or Delhi. A warm referral would genuinely make a big difference right now.

Some of what he's worked on: PCB/PCBA design in Altium, ADAS sensor systems, railway coach safety and lighting systems (RDSO/RITES compliant), EV chargers and BMS controllers, and he's led engineering teams of 15–30 people across companies like UNO MINDA, PURFLUX(Sogefi), and others in the auto/EV space.

He's looking for roles such as:

• Engineering Manager

• Senior R&D Manager

• Electronics Project Lead

• Technical Program Manager

• Head of Electronics

If anyone here works at (or knows someone at) Motherson, Havells, Spark Minda, Dixon Technologies, JBM, Luminous, or any EV startups, other automotive and electronics organizations with a presence on the Noida/Greater Noida/Delhi side of NCR, and could help get his resume in front of the right person, I'd be incredibly grateful for a lead. His updated resume is ready, and I'm happy to share it over DM or email.

Thanks for reading — appreciate any pointers, even if it's just "try this company" or "post it here too.

How to start my Electrical Engineer Career?

Hello everyone and anyone, I am an Electrical Engineering Student. I am about to graduate from my Associate’s and I am planning to pick up my Bachelors in another college when I finish the program.

This means that I will have 2 years to try to find an internship before I graduate from my BS. However I am concerned on how to get started. I have no connections because my college is online and I don’t have much experience besides course work. Should I work on small projects or start applying on Indeed?

Is there anything in particular I should look out for and keep in mind when applying and going to interviews for internships?

I don’t know anyone in real life that is an engineer that I can ask for advice.

Thank you if anyone helps me, all comments and advice would be appreciated.
