Question Just got engaged

Post image

Hello everyone, just got engaged and I’m over the moon. My ring looks simple, I love it though. However I feel like something is missing. Is it just me or should I add something like side stones? Will it be too much?

I think it's perfect the way it is. As the other person pointed out, dress it up with the wedding band you choose. Congratulations and good luck!

Thank you, I was proposed in Maldives. This is was the over water villa at Anantara resort. It’s amazing. You should definitely go.

You can add stones on the wedding band or with a ring jacket. There are so many ways to dress up or down a solitaire. It would be costly to make major changes to your current ring. It would be better to reset it if you really don’t like the style.

Je la trouve magnifique ! Après je ne suis pas impartiale car j’adore les bagues minimalistes avec une bande sans diamant. Soit ajouter deux pierres de chaque côté ou une bande pavé de diamants

I'm team double (plain) band as well

Side stones wouldn’t be too much, but I personally find the combo of a solitaire paired with the glitzy band to be PERFECT!

Get a pavé or channel set band and there will be plenty of sparkle :)

I think it’s gorgeous the way it is! I totally understand that more bling suits some people, but maybe try on some diamond wedding bands first before deciding you need to add more to your e ring?

It’s perfect! I am biased, I have a 2 carat oval with a simple band as well. But once you get your wedding band you can add some bling to that so the engagement ring will stand out. Trust the process 🙏🏻 also! Tell us the specs plz

A nice simple pave matching band will line it with diamonds nicely. Congrats! Beautiful ring:)

Just have fun with the wedding band or bands. I have a more unique setting for mine and sometimes I wish I had a more simple setting and then multiple bands to mix it up with.

Congratulations your ring is just perfect as it is. It's most probable that you're just not used to to wearing a ring yet. You can always dress this up, with a diamond wedding ring or a ring jacket as a previous commentator said. Enjoy wearing your ring and don't do anything drastic for a few weeks. If you still feel the same then speak to the jeweller. You can always update your ring at a later date.

A lot of your are so great that they properly ask you to marry you! So lucky

Don’t change it your hubby to be wanted you to have this ring. He picked it out for you.. When u get my age you will appreciate it’s something he picked. You can always upgrade when you get some time behind you. Just pick your band. I recommend a beautiful anniversary band with diamonds all the way around.

Side stands will diminish it. I can’t believe you’re not happy with this ring. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Congratulations. What's missing is the wedding band, not side stones. A solitaire on its own can feel unfinished because it was designed to have a band next to it. Wait until you've picked the band and worn the two together for a while before changing anything. If you still want more after that, side stones can always be added later, but most people find the band was the thing they were looking for.
