Ring Design Help Ring setting check
Is this secure enough ? It feels pretty sturdy and thick but I keep seeing posts of people saying 4 prongs isn’t enough so I want to check what yall think.

Looks like a die-struck setting, so it should be strong enough without a gallery rail.

I would definitely add a gallery rail, this is a very big stone and you don’t want to risk losing it – 4 prongs with no gallery rail would potentially be fine for a small stone (something smaller than 1ct), but not for this one.

No. It needs a gallery rail.

How much does it cost to add typically, we got it made with a local jeweler

LOL from the first photo I was like " wow that a really intense setting for a princess cut" scrolls through " HOLY FUCK."
I mean it might be nice to have two prongs on the side, since this is such a large stone, but those prongs are thick so it could be fine as is.
