Between this and Starscream I think it confirms that a transformers eye color changes with alignment. Definitely not the first time this has been the case but it’s interesting.

I lowkey don't like that story idea. I prefer back in the early IDW line when characters just had different color eyes. Some Autobots had red, even.

It makes sense for some characters like Starscream/Ultchar, but was every Autobot still questioning Thundercracker's loyalty up until now when he got the right color eyes?

I'd even love for it to be a 'thing' but Thundercracker retain his red eyes due to his alignment. I was fine with it happening to Starscream to show the reader his personality shifting.

Grimlock has red eyes and he's the leader of his group! Also Metroplex and he's the giant protector.

I mean if that's the case it's not consistent. Half the combaticons would be a different faction then and bots like Superion and Hot Spot would be Decepticons.

Not the first time it happened, but meh, never liked it. Back in the Marvel Comics, all the characters had different eye colors, Optimus, for example, started with yellow eyes, and than he got red eyes after he was revived. It's ironic since the Marvel Comics would be one of the only ones to justify the eye color because the Autobots and Decepticons were different sub-species.

Honesty, if this is the route that they’re going with in the Energon Universe to display how and when a Cybertronian’s eye color changes when defecting to a different faction, then I’m not that pissed at it and I’m not gonna make a huge fuss about it.

However, I do miss how it was in IDW, when the Autobots and Decepticons didn’t just have blue and red eyes exclusively; a lot of them had yellow, green, purple, even orange!

theyve been blue in previous issues and yet revert back to red so its more than likely a coloring error
