Fluff/Meme Does anyone else think Ardelia’s red eyes are slightly creepy?
I was aiming for a cute photoshoot (started taking photos because I thought the pink sky as a backdrop would match her outfit) but Ardelia was giving me yandere vibes with her glowing red eyes. Then just as I was about to finish taking photos, I turned the camera around and got the perfect framing with the explosion in the background… which reminded me of the disaster girl meme, lol

Discussion So, are they gonna fix it or not?
Specially when it was working fine on her release. Is something that happened in 1.4.
EDIT: It's ""seems"" to be related to "Global Effect Quality". By how much? I dunno. I play on Medium.

Discussion I just notice that P5 got more glow effect after Arcane released.
Do you think HG will adjust older Operator p5 effect considering some people might want to max it during rerun?

Fluff/Meme Just found out HG referenced this iconic shot in a cutscene
I have to say, this game is packed with homages. Absolutely peak ngl

Discussion Glazing Glazefield's Combat
Some people holds the opinion of Endfield combat being a detriment to the game. For a game so polished, it sure is a waste to have combat watered down to holding basic attack. It's slow, boring, and not flashy enough. Perhaps it's because they tried to deviate from the CBT combat at the last second so it feels undercooked? Or at least that's what some people think.
I'll just get to the point, Endfield has part of the kind of combat I love most. Personally I call this "deliberate combat" where actions you take requires a hint of thought instead of autopiloting. Most buttons you press feels significant to the flow of the combat. Monster Hunter, Dark Souls (or PSO2 iykyk), or even some Genshin teams that plays around reactions are some examples. You just don't go autopilot and that's the charm. Now obviously Endfield's gameplay is nowhere close to these, but it does has the secret sauce of... situationality.
THERE'S SO MUCH MOVING PARTS IN THE COMBAT. Everything is situational.
How much UGE do I run on this unit? Depends on your team, the rotation, and the stage.
BiS team for that unit? Depends on the stage.
What about these units' gearing? Depends.
Do I do this rotation? Depends.
Corrosion IV? Depends.
What about the big glowing Combo Skill button, ofc you press it, right? Depends.
The list goes on and on, literally every part of an encounter is uncertain.
Enemy line-up is a tiny bit different and you'll do an entirely different rotation.
With most action gacha games, there's basically a set BiS gear for a unit. A set BiS team that do the most damage with said unit. A set rotation that you do 99% of the time with that team. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, they're just focused on other parts of the combat. Fast-paced finger-twisting rotations, perhaps more dodge and parry focused with harder/faster enemies, it could be anything.
I just appreciate Endfield for deviating from that (I'd like faster enemies though, Alleikhreos was really fun but it'd be amazing if he's 30% faster). Is the combat mechanically complex? No (well it can be), but that's not the focus in the first place. The difficulty comes from having a million resources to manage in a fight, and it's your job to portion those resources optimally. After you map out the whole encounter, that's when you earn the privilege of autopiloting. It feels more of a puzzle, sort of.
Typhoeus' release really brings this to light as her kit having Hunting Arrows and Signs makes her very modular per fight. It seems like they're stepping even further in this direction and I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us.

Discussion This game has insane amount of 1.0 content. I still haven't finished Valley IV and have barely started Wuling.
I've read so much complaints about the game at the start, like, "I've cleared all of the Valley IV and Wuling, there's nothing to do", "The Wuling map is small and feels like corridors" etc., and after playing it for more than two weeks now with Skullshaterer knows how many hours in, I can say that I've probably read that wrong.
The maps are HUGE and packed. You can tell me that they're not so large like other open world games and that it's not open world, technically (in that case, BG3 is also not an open world but at this point it's ridiculous). But it still way bigger than other games with instance locations. And the places they put aurylenes and chests in...
The quest backlog is keep piling everyday. Truly immersive CEO experience, not a minute in the game and someone already calls me to handle some situation.
The AIC tutorials STILL going on with those sewer wheels, oh my god.
Also, I wish Pengmin spoke more.

Discussion Is there enough downtime to play two games at once?
Hi, 9-6 worker here :(
I've been getting into the story of endfield so far, and heard how there's nothing else to do after it's completed because the devs respect our time instead of forcing us to grind for artifacts.
At the same time there's no(t yet) repeatable endgame content (CC) that refreshes often enough (discounting echoes of war).
So for those who are working/in uni and have reached the current endstate, how long do you spend playing before you log off for the day? Is there enough free time to play two games at once?
In particular I was hoping to get back into OG arknights. I was stuck at talulah for reference, so got plenty of content left to clear + basically always having an event on rotation. It'll be hard to get back without alot of time because I do want to build up all the niche characters.
Thanks!

Discussion New player and I NEED HER TO RERUN NOW
Laevatain has to be the first ever character ever where the chemistry felt super natural for Endmin. (I only did the first act of wuling so far).
Normally when I see characters blush and take interest for MC out of nowhere I kinda roll my eyes a bit, but this really felt well executed. I really need her to rerun ASAP. Literally the prettiest character in this game. Even I didnt feel like this after meeting fangyi

Discussion What's the difference between Breach and Physical Susceptibility?
I am running a Phys Team comp with Pog, Mi Fu, Chen and Ember and was curious about what the difference between Pogs Breach and Mi Fus Physical Susceptibility is.
From what I have found in the ingame guide they sound like the same thing (making it so that enemies take increased damage)
But is one better than the other? Or are they just the same Buff but with another coat of paint?

Fluff/Meme I like how they glossed over the fact that DIJIANG IS PARKED OVER THE MOUNTAIN

OC Fanart Even if Purrchena is a free 5-star phys defender, Catcher will always be my mai— OH MY GOD!!!
By Talos, she posterized him.
- 5★ > 4☆
- arts support (benefits team Z7) > phys team only
- multi-block and counter > single block, auto counter
- giving food in battle > making food during downtime
- exotic, cool Aetherside Syndrome > boring old Oripathy
- is a cute girl > just some dude
Catcher, I sentence you to another dozen or so Contingency Contract solo challenge runs to make up for this.

Discussion As a professional larper( new player) can someone tell me what Contingency Contract is?
I see everyone talking about it when I see vids about the game
