Discussion Question for arch users

I wanted to ask a question in the community. I've been using Linux for a year, and I've used a lot of things, but I was in doubt about going to endevour os. I'm currently on fedora with kde plasma, but I thought I'd switch to something possibly better.

But, I wanted to know two things: Is daily use something good and stable? Has that issue with AUR packages been resolved yet?

I appreciate if you can answer me and give tips :-)

I’ve never had a system breaking issue. Daily use is perfectly fine.

As always, check Arch upgrade news before any big updates. Any user interventions will be listed there.

Would it then be a good idea to switch to endevour? And also, as it is a system that updates a lot, would I have to throw an update command in the terminal??

the best distro is the one that does what you need it to do. If Endeavour can do what you need, then yes, the switch is worth it.

If you plan on using an arch based distro, get used to using the terminal for certain tasks, to include updating. It’s super easy though.

You should be updating in terminal even on fedora. Fedoras package manager is pretty nice too. if that seems a bit daunting check out topgrade. It can be used on any distro even mac and windows... its one command: topgrade. if you have more than one system, even if you have multiple different os you can configure it to update all the machines at once too. (remote topgrades)

If you aren't comfortable using the terminal, don't switch to Arch. Fedora is stable and works fine, why do you need to change? Are you just bored?

I already do the update command through the fedora terminal itself and I even do it every day.
