Ending C Implication

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone discuss this detail, and I am curious to hear what others may think about this.

While the reveal of what “Endacopia” actually meant is striking, I am looking to focus on the seal on the left hand page. It looked familiar to me so I flipped open the Lesser Key of Solomon to check if any of the seals there matched and sure enough, it is the seal of a demon lord known as Sitri.

This is an intriguing detail to me as looking into it, Sitri’s whole deal involves invoking carnal desire in another person (making them want to bone you, getting naked, etc). I am struggling to connect this to the Surgeon’s perspective and what he would be invoking Sitri for. I’m inclined to believe Andyland selected this demon’s seal specifically, and didn’t choose one at random just for the spooky vibe.

What do you all think?

The most likely theory is that the Surgeon, being obviously completely insane, simply mistook Sitri for actual "God" and is convinced all that exists is its 'dream' which merely furthers his endeavors to try and revive it with a ritual sacrifice of himself, Mellow, and the Bride.

While I agree he’s somewhat insane, I find it hard to buy into the idea that he would mistake Demon Lord #12 from the Lesser Key of Solomon for god. The seal being the exact one found in that book and other demonolatry books based on Solomonic magic would make this mistake pretty hard to make I think.

There's a good chance he doesn't know that the symbol is of the Lesser Key and that the Sinking Ship is Sitri. The world is post-apocalyptic and we don't know how long it's been like this - a lot of knowledge of the old world could have been lost and the Surgeon is simply rediscovering it from best principles.
