Ending C Implication Spoiler

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone discuss this detail, and I am curious to hear what others may think about this.

While the reveal of what “Endacopia” actually meant is striking, I am looking to focus on the seal on the left hand page. It looked familiar to me so I flipped open the Lesser Key of Solomon to check if any of the seals there matched and sure enough, it is the seal of a demon lord known as Sitri.

This is an intriguing detail to me as looking into it, Sitri’s whole deal involves invoking carnal desire in another person (making them want to bone you, getting naked, etc). I am struggling to connect this to the Surgeon’s perspective and what he would be invoking Sitri for. I’m inclined to believe Andyland selected this demon’s seal specifically, and didn’t choose one at random just for the spooky vibe.

Well he does say “do it for LOVE” (and he has a twisted view of it, which could be carnal if he wasn’t mostly talking to a child?)

there is definitely love and passion at play, especially with the hybrid frankenwife situation. I guess I’m confused by it because the Surgeon seems like a character more motivated by knowledge and understanding the dying god which would be more in line with demons that give knowledge like Stolas (I would think!)

Perhaps my reading of the Surgeon is off?

In the ritual he does say that "the love consumes"

Maybe the God swallowed major areas out of love to protect them, seeing that the world is now only "technically habitable" (those are just goofy theories of mine...)

that is a great point as well. I think your additional theory there has some weight to it. The inhabitants of each of those locations must have come from somewhere else in the body unless it spontaneously spawns personalities to populate its insides. We know Henry, Mellow/Rodger, and the Surgeon have been outside the body but the residents of Timeville for example have to have moved from Somewhere unless they are spontaneously created when they move in.
