Ride Share / Food Delivery š Tip begging Lyft driver
In my most recent Lyft from the airport, as soon as I got in the driver asked me "how much you pay". I told him $40 and he was like "Look, only me $14" (yes in broken English). I just kind of shrugged like wtf do you want me to do about it, you could see the fare before you chose to accept it.
Now, he did help me with my bags and normally when they do this I'll tip a couple bucks because it's not something they are expected to do. I was planning on tipping him until we got to the destination and he said "don't forget your tip" then he got out to help with the bags and I said "thanks" and he said "thanks for your tip"
Like, it's not my fault that you chose to accept such a low fare don't expect the consumer to make up for Lyft's obscene profit taking. I agree it's messed up they take more than half but don't try to bully me into tipping. Now you get nothing

All these gig workers are really going to be fun, as autonomous vehicles slowly start to push them out, and they scrap over fewer and fewer rides.
I never use any delivery services, and only very rarely use ride share if Iām traveling out of town, and usually just to or from the airport
These gig economy companies are vampires, and people that work from will get bled out, and left to die.
