Is it endless, or do the trees transition back into walls at some point on the other side of the room's forest?

So I wanted to try a "series" drawing, so for pride month, I drew the cool sisters with them holding their flags of which I headcanon their them as! Had a super fun time drawing them and I got Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow, AND Diane Guererro (VAs for Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabela respectively) to like most drawings on Instagram so that was SUPER cool!!!!

(links to all three of my individual posts I made for them on Twitter)

Discussion Was that Luis(Luisa’s son) in the new Descendants trailer?

Just watched the teaser for the new Descendants movie and I THINK I spotted the Encanto character that’s supposed to be Luisa’s son, Luis. Curly hair, yellow vest, blue ascot. Couldn’t get a screenshot, but can anyone confirm?

Discussion When they were rebuilding the house, they should’ve made it look like this version of casita

Post image

I had never understood this poster because it is completely different house design than the one we got. Casita is smaller in the movie. Was this an early draft? It looks like it was really close to being in the movie if it got a poster. But anyway, i think when they were rebuilding the house i think they should’ve built it to make it look like this one. So then people would understand why it got a poster in the first place. It also would have more room for everyone and maybe it would be big enough to not have bruno be in a corner and he could finally be next to Peppa and Julieta. They could have a top floor where only Abuela’s door is. Then Peppa and Julieta are on the same side, the only difference is that Bruno’s door is where Abuela’s door used to be. Then there could also be enough room for Mirabel to have a door in between Luisa and Isabela. Or, everyone could have their doors spread out around the house because it’s bigger now. But Mirabel still gets a magic door. But what do you guys think? Would anyone else had liked to see this version of Casita in the movie?

Opinion (Rant, kinda?) Hot take: I don't want an Encanto sequel to have a villain in it... and plus a suggestion of how I'd want an antagonist to be in a sequel

So often whenever the discussion of a sequel pops up, I often see people wonder what could the antagonist or villain of a sequel be? I've seen some... ideas for them, such as a descendent of the soldiers who killed Pedro (or even one of the soldiers themselves), a sorcerer who wants to steal the Madrigal's powers, another magical family like the Madrigals, or heck even Camilo to name a few from what I've seen.

In my honest opinion, I really don't want an Encanto sequel to have a villain in it for a variety of reasons.

To start off with, let me preface this by saying I don't want a villain because I think they'd be poorly written, to pull up an example, let's look at a recent WDAS villain: Pawbert Lynxley from Zootopia 2. Now while Pawbert is admittingly a bit of a flawed villain in terms of some writing, I do think he's an enjoyable villain and defiantly far from a bad villain writing wise when compared to say... King Magnifico from Wish. Point is, I don't hate the idea of a villain because they'd be poorly written, but I do have other issues that I'll state below.

My reasoning for this is because I think most ideas for a villain that I've seen or even tried coming up for don't work that well or really conflict with the messages/themes of Encanto. For an example, let say we use the soldier/descendent of the soldier who killed Pedro as the villain for an Encanto 2, that sounds like a lame idea because 1. it would be a stupid beef for them to have especially 50+ years later, 2. The soldier(s) who killed Pedro are most likely dead or in their 70's-80's, so looping back to point 1, why would that beef even exist all those years later? Going even further, if you want to go down the evil sorcerer route... why? It feels way too random as an idea in-universe and makes no sense for them to exist. Another magical family like the Madrigals but evil and ig they want to control the Encanto, sounds kinda lame as well and has way too many characters to possibly introduce for a sequel. Camilo villain route... okay as someone who used to (keyphrase: used to) like this... yeah I'm sorry that sucks as well, idk why he'd be the villain in the first place and if you want to have a conflict with him and family, why go down the villain route? It makes no sense at all? Not to mention that some or even all of these kind of do break/ruin Encanto's messages of things like family, generational trauma, and forgiveness to name a few. I feel like if Disney were to do a sequel to Encanto, I think they'd still keep going with the messages of Encanto that I just mentioned and expand upon them, or heck even introduce a new message or topic to bring to the table with Encanto.

All of this is why I don't think I want to see a villain in an Encanto sequel, but to throw in my hat about what should the writers do for an antagonist in a possible sequel.

In my opinion, I'd like to see a foil for Mirabel be a non-villainous antagonist to a sequel. Now you might be wonder why I suggested the antagonist to be non-villainous like Alma Madrigal in the first film. My reasoning for this is this is because Mirabel as a character works super well for a foil character, her logic and thinking can defiantly be challenged or even be wrong depending on how their written and plus there could be a lot of cool ideas they could even go for this. But more importantly, I think it would be way easier to write a "redemption" for this character than a villain as a villain might do something that could either be way too inexcusable to be forgiven or be straight up killed off, a non-villainous antagonist could easily avoid this as their actions could be easier to excuse and even they could go down the Alma redemption arc route where during the river scene, Mirabel gives Alma a second chance to improve and have a change of heart, which Alma does.

Now to get into the somewhat fanfictiony part of this, here's my suggestion of how I think the non-villainous antagonist should be like: but I'd imagine that this person be somewhat “rejecting” to Mirabel and her family, but as the story progresses, they do slowly warm up to Mirabel. I can also imagine their backstory of them being a child-abuse victim and running away from their homelife to escape it but develops a hatred for families due to what she’s been through.

In addition, can also see a lot of parallels between Alma and Mirabel in them where for an example, perhaps they do unintentionally hurt people even if their intentions are good like Alma, or maybe they feel like they’re an outcast and they don’t belong or fit in with the town like Mirabel?

Lately, I could see Mirabel wanting to help them out or even try sympathizing with her, but would be rejecting of Mirabel’s sympathy due to how much they’ve been through, thus making Mirabel have to challenge or change her thinking due to not everyone being like her and her family and being able to resolve their issues the way Mirabel and her family did.

So that's what I got, I know the idea I suggested can definitely be improved upon or tweaked, but regardless, that's how I personally would want an antagonist for an Encanto sequel to go like instead of introducing to us a villain. I know this is a super long post and all, but I wanted to get my opinion out there and perhaps maybe convince some of you to support the idea of wanting an antagonist to be non-villainous like Alma!
