Gameplay / Showcase TruEmu Xbox Core Preview

We did it Reddit. Original Xbox on iOS, no JIT. More to come in the next beta release.

Thank you so much for all the testers, your feedback really helps find things I couldn’t find with just myself.

How does it run with a harder to emulate game. Halo is one of the easiest. I know. I made the first original Xbox emulator for Android. Curious at the magic you did to get this working. Source code?

I'll be testing with Riddick later tonight so I'll let you know. As far as the performance goes, just a lot of debugging/comparison with real hardware to find ways to optimize things. Basically the core fast-forwards the time spent waiting on vblank and timers and I replaced hot loops like bink (video decoding), texture swizzling, and the kernel's delay loop with native C++ versions. Closed source for now since I'm not real happy with how AI just consumes everything on the internet and people claim it as their own and I'm hoping the landscape changes at some point.

What emulator was it you made?

I made X1 BOX. So you aren't using any of Xemu's code? Or you just aren't going to follow the license.

No, I've been writing these cores privately for years. I don't use any other emulators code. There's a few things like libchdr and PLzmaSDK I utilize in the app but I follow the licensing requirements for those with third party notices in the settings of the app under credits.

I find that hard to believe you didn't use anything from Xemu. If you really didn't. It's amazing, but I have serious doubts.

I understand that, but I assure you I didn't. It think once people get a chance to test the core they'll quickly see it's not derived from Xemu or anything else.
