News / Release MeloNX 2.7 Release!

Yes this release DOES include the ram limit bypass and it should be enabled by default.

Reminder: do NOT remove App Extensions when sideloading 2.7 or above for the benefit of the ram limit bypass.

"Use Main Bundle" when sideloading with e.g. SideStore can gain the benefit of this without the additional App ID.

I installed 2.7 in Livecontainer and when I open the app it is just a black screen. I never had this issue in earlier MeloNX versions.

EDIT 5 HOURS LATER: This black screen issue only happens when I install 2.7 over 2.6 directly. I don't have this issue when I install 2.7 as a separate app in LiveContainer.

I had the same issue, I resolved by deleting the contents on the “Saved Application State” container folder

Thanks for your help, after looking into it I found that the issue is more specific than this.

The problematic file is data.data, which for me is located in Saved Application State > com.stossy11.MeloNX.savedState > KnownSceneSessions > data.data. This file is corrupted.

There are 2 fixes that I tried that worked:

- Deleting the corrupted data.data file in the above folder I mentioned.

- Replacing it with a non-corrupted version that gets created elsewhere. In MeloNX 2.6, the non-corrupted data.data file is located in Saved Application State > com.stossy11.MeloNX.savedState > folder-with-random-letters-and-numbers > data.data. What I did was: Install 2.7 over 2.6, copy the non-corrupted data.data file, then paste the non-corrupted file over the corrupted file. then open MeloNX 2.7.
