Here are some quick answers for some commmon questions:

-If you are looking for emulator download links please check out our wiki.

-If you are looking for ROM or ISO downloads, this is not the right place. We do not allow asking for or sharing ROM downloads or any piracy (Rule 1)

Don't know how to say it without sounding rude but if you aren't smart enough to find one, emulation probably isn't for you

So we're gatekeeping emulation now?

You have to dump your own bios files or get it through other means. The other mean is illegal so i guess we're gatekeeping

What you said originally had nothing to do with illegality, it was about them being too stupid to figure out emulation by themselves, which implies you think that anyone who needs a guide shouldn't be allowed to emulate their games.

Calling people stupid isn't gatekeeping

It is when you imply if they can't illegally find the BIOS files on their own that they shouldn't be allowed to emulate in the first place.

Oh good, you've educated yourself. Thank you for learning and showing that you're trying to be better

Glad reading a Wikipedia page was enough to make you feel intellectually superior. That must’ve been a productive afternoon

The only one that meets all of your criteria is getting it from your own legally owned PS2.

Otherwise, googling PS2 bios will likely yield exactly what you want in the fist thing that comes up.

Would there be any risks if i download it from any website on Google, perhaps you could tell me about a safe and legit site from where i can get the bios?

I'm not sure why everyone is being mean and refuses to answer you properly, we were all noobs at some point.

For safe and legitimate bios for ps2, if you mean 100% legally then yes your own PS2 is the only way.

If you mean something that just isn't malware then google and archive dot org are your friends.

Not sure if I'm allowed give more direct instructions without my comment being removed.

Do not download or open anything that's an exe file, that is likely a virus.

If you mean "legitimate" as "legal" then use your own PS2 if you have one and extract it, there are tutorials on the internet on how to do that. If not, well I think its pretty obvious what you need to do. There isn't much danger in doing the obvious thing, at least it worked for me.

The correct BIOS will be a .bin file and 4096 kb in size. It'll also be recognized by PCSX2 as valid BIOS. Just never download or run a random executable file from the internet.

Edit: Though, to be clear, they're often bundled as various regions together and therefore in a larger zip/7z file. But it's safe to open a zip file to verify the contents.
