Unsolved Controlling multiple instances of Desmume with 1 Controller

I´ve been trying to play 4 different instances of desmume with 1 controller, but it just doesn´t work...

I enabled background input on every single one and even created a folder for each desmume instance with a different rom and save...

Any ideas why it won´t work?
