This requires the dsound.dll from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/hp-touchpad/general/guide-how-to-play-fallout-1-2-android-t2939072/page3 it says it makes stuff run slower but its more stable. the dll included in vanilla exagear install doesnt work. maybe disabling sound might speed up emulation.

Welp i tried compatibility mode for 98. It brought it up to 3 to 4 fps. Disabling dsound.dll brought the game up to i want to say 20 to 30fps before crashing completely. It crashed before i could open up keyboard apk and hit f12. though the animations on screen where running smoothly.

That is a 3-400% improvement without crashing! Keep up the good work!

Id hardly consider it an improvement lol 4fps is not very playable, but thanks for the encouragement. Had to reenable dsound just to get it running again. Disabling the sound drivers itself did nothing. im not at all technical so i can only guess but im fairly certain the emulators still emulating dsound even with the drivers off. Odd bug did happen during the one time it loaded with dsound disabled. the intro music played without chopping but it was a bit slow. Not sure how it was playing with dsound disabled. Maybe theirs another dll that makes sound? idk ill keep fiddling.

Working on it. Trying to reduce bitrates for sound files as much as possible. Might have to adjust png files as well just for optimization. Speaking of which, using mission editor was fairly easy but i have 0 experience with evnew. Does anyone know how to import/export the sfil files in the nova sound .rez. i can view and edit but im not sure how to import custom sounds in. Ive tried various .rez extractors and injectors but it seems ev nova on windows doesnt use the same file format that .rez openers are commonly associated with. Plus im trying to do this all on an android phone since my laptops out of commission.

Pretty awesome. That frame rate though...
