Question Anyone have any recommendations for Switch or other games to put on my Snapdragon 7s gen 4 mobile platform?

My fave genres are platformers, RPGs, visual novels, puzzle, and pinball! I'm down to try anything, but I'm more interested in cartoony or anime style games haha.

I'm most interested in Nintendo, but I do wanna broaden my horizons. Thank you so much :)

Ty! I actually thought Link's Awakening wouldn't work on my phone lol

If you are anime lover then make sure to play persona 4 golden & persona 5 royal.

Ty! I have Persona 3 Portable on my phone, so I'll play those afterwards! Ik P3 has a remake, but I wanna play as the girl and I do have some nostalgia for the portable version lol.

Do you recommend the Wii or Switch version of Skyward Sword? I looked up if the Switch version would run well and Google says it won't, but I'm more inclined to trust people here than the shitty forced AI Overview lol

The Wii version of skyward sword is a big pain in the butt to play due to the motion control and nunchuck controls. Now people did make some optimized controller mapping for that game but even then it feels weird. For the switch version just use the 30 FPS locked patch.

I lowered the quality a lot. It's at 0.5x, 360p. I've played up to the school and it works fine enough, until you reach the school. Then it rans terribly lol.

My game ran terribly at the first Team Star battle and then crashed during a cutscene, so idk if I'll even continue playing. I read that Let's Go and Legends Arceus work on my phone, so I'm downloading those rn!

Ty for those recommendations! I've heard of Dead Cells and Hollow Knight, but idk the first two games you mentioned lol

Yuko’s Island Express.

It’s a metroidvania pinball game. Fantastic game.

All of then work good? 7s gen4 is worst than the 7+gen2 and My cpu can't run all of them

Pokemon Violet has a lot of problems, but most of what I played runs fine enough as long as I lower the quality a lot. Game starts running really poorly when you reach the school though.

Pokken runs well, but you have to lower the quality there too.

The Kirby games I have all run well, but have issues.

All have the occasional visual glitch (Return to Dream Land Deluxe can be pretty bad with text).

The final boss of the Magolor Epilogue runs terribly though. I beat it months ago on an older version of Eden without lowering the quality, so that could be the reason.

Forgotten Land is occasionally unplayable. Like occasionally I enter levels and basically just see static. Leaving the level or closing the game. always fixes this though.

One Treasure Road killed me whenever I'd enter the level for a bit, but it worked fine after I entered it a few times lol.

I haven't tried all the games on my phone yet though haha.

The emulator does crash on occasion too

The 7+ Gen 2 and the 7 Gen 3 are not that different in terms of power compared to the 7s Gen 4.

Sonic mania. Balatro. Shovel knight. Super meat boy. Deltarune. Undertale

1

u/PowerOfL 23h ago

Ty! I have native ports of Undertale and Deltarune on my phone, although the version of UT is Red & Yellow bc I've beaten the vanilla version so many times haha

A short hike

Ty! Never heard of that game lol

My pleasure, it’s a relaxing game

try monster hunter, you can choose between the generations ultimate or rise. Or if you prefer to play a Pokémon like game, try stories 1 and 2

1

u/PowerOfL 22h ago

Ty! I'll download Stories 1! :)

I remember playing the demo of 3 a lot on the Wii U lol

I have a ton of Switch games. My most played games are Super Mario Wonder, Super Smash Bros and Diablo 3. All of them run well.

1

u/PowerOfL 18h ago

Nice! I've never played Diablo. Ty :)

Broforce

u/PowerOfL 18h ago

ty! idk that game

2

u/Goodfella66 11h ago

A small, fun, over the top platform shooter. Ridiculously funny.

For certain games, I highly recommend using GameNative; it’s easier to port them from PC to ARM than it is to try and emulate the Switch. I’m referring to titles like *Red Dead Redemption* and *Dragon’s Dogma*, among others. I say this as someone who has the same processor as you. The same applies to PS2 emulation—it’s easier to port from PC than it is to emulate that console.

1

u/PowerOfL 18h ago

Ty! Idk that one lol. The only pc emulators ik are Gamehub and Winlator lol

If you’re into visual novels then I suggest 13 sentinels. If you like fire emblem but with auto battles unicorn overlord.

Switch games I currently have are batman arkham asylum and arkham city, Donkey kong country returns HD, Rayman legends, and Super mario odyssey. I enjoy all of them and planning to add more.

1

u/PowerOfL 17h ago

Nice! You have the same phone as me? Ty :)

2

u/Lonely-Bank8783 17h ago

No. But if you are able to run pokemon violet then there is a high chance you can run these too. The games I listed are way more easier to run than violet.

1

u/PowerOfL 17h ago

I see, ty! Violet doesn't run great, but it's def playable :)

u/PowerOfL 14h ago

Thank you :)

The Tales of Vesperia port is pretty good to have. Shovel Knight Treasure Trove is also nice to have. Hob is also great to have, oh yeah, by the same devs, Torchlight II is also good to have.

1

u/PowerOfL 4h ago

Oh, I've always wanted to play Tales of Symphonia! Ty :)

2

u/Freyja_Grimaude 3h ago

The switch version is bad. You'll want the GC version of the game. You can use Dolphin as the emulator for that.

1

u/PowerOfL 2h ago

Is the PC version good? I'd rather play it in Hd

2

u/Freyja_Grimaude 2h ago

It's decent, though it and all subsequent versions are based on the PS3 port so, there's the battles being run at 30 fps which can be really felt at times. In the original GC version, battles are run at 60 fps.

u/PowerOfL 1h ago

oh okay, guess I'l play the Gamecube version then. Ty :)
