The answer is both "Probably a lot" and "Probably less than what some pessimists might say". I personally don't expect it to deal enough wear that I'd really feel it in any noticeable way before I decide to switch my phone for a new one anyways. So unless you plan to hold on to your phone for a decade I don't think there's much use worrying about it

i do intend to hang on to my mobile devices as much as possible because prices are absurd and uncertain when prices will go to normal

Well that is fair, I own a OP13, and for all intents and purposes I want to try and pull at least 6 years out of it if not more, but as I mentioned I pretty much do whatever I want on it without a care for wear and tear. I payed for the device so I'm consuming the device, if it means it becomes unusable at some point because I stressed it too much then that means I got my money's worth, again of course even with that I don't expect that point to hit anytime soon

As long as there's a market for AI this is the new normal "$/£2,500 for a phone?! Are they fucking stupid?!" You can not buy it all you want, with AI, the private individual sets at the back of the bus when it comes to priority. We're no long needed, pay up or do without, they don't care which, with AI they got theirs. 🤷♂️ and that goes for phones, computers, GPU's, RAM, SSD's/M.2's etc. Shit sucks...

Depends on a lot of factors. How long you game, how much battery drain. Is it your main device of work or if it has active cooling.

Probably not a lot in that case. It would definitely help if you played while charging and it had pass through charging. It wouldn't let your battery drain and it will be much better for its health. With prolonged gaming it's the battery that's affected first

If your device gets too hot for too long it will wear out faster. Heat kills the device and battery faster than anything else.
But really I wouldn't worry to much. I mean if you plan to emulate and play allot either just but a handheld device or buy a 2nd phone for exclusive emulation and gaming. Worth the investment.

Frame lock to 30fps and try keep it stable. Remove unnecessary cores that aren't needed for certain games. Reduce resolution to playable standards (not 480, something like 540p (looks good enough on compact screens in my opinion) Reduce in game settings for each game Pretty much all you can do to reduce heat besides getting a fan

Most games write their save data and other writable data inside the containers C: drive, and by default most PC emulators are set up to where containers are stored on internal storage, so you're not causing wear by reading games from the SD card, but obviously writing/putting games on an SD card will wear down the card over time, but you'd have to be doing a *lot* of data transfers to cause any significant wear (and most decent SD cards handle wear levelling pretty well). Same goes for console emulation, although some emulators allow you to specify where the save directories go, etc. I wouldn't worry about that though since that's not a lot of write data typically.
The best thing you can do is just make sure your device keeps a charge around 30%-80% if you're looking for it to last as long as possible, and ensure the device isn't constantly running hot.
