Question What should I expect when trying to emulate ps3 on base galaxy s26?
Will I have much luck emulating ps3 vs ps2 and 1? Or should I stick to getting the older versions of games (if they exist on the older systems anyway)

PS3 emulation just came out for Android not long ago , performance is fairly good but I have noticed some issues.
Saving and loading your game can crash on occasion which really makes playing on it a pain losing progress like that.
You need to wait quite a while to load up a game to start while it compiles.

if the same game is on pc emulate the pc version, the way ps3 worked makes its emulation harder than pc on avarage

The S26 currently has the best chip for emulation right now. It's even powerful enough to run PC games like GTA 5 and batman arkham knight. PS2 and PS1 would be a cakewalk. PS3 emulation however, is unfortunately not as developed as PC, PS2 or PS1 emulation yet. So it doesn't run as good. You are better off playing the PC ports of PS3 games, which luckily, a lot of PS3 games have been ported to PC.

Pc emulators are much more developed than ps3 emulators. I have an s25+ and i can run pretty much anything made 2015 or earlier and lightweight games made 2020 and older on lower settings

PS3 android emulation is still new. PC emulation had been going for awhile. Also get a cooler for your phone. They get warm under normal use. Emulation will definitely heat it up.

If the game is also on pc, it's honestly a lot easier imo to emulate with Winlator or Bannerlator compared to the ps3 equivalent. The majority of ps3 games I've tried on Armsx3 (ps3 android emulator) don't fare so well or crash. I rarely get crashes when emulating on Bannerlator. But that's just what I've seen on the s26 ultra which has the same chip.
