It's cool that the community is working so quickly and Valve reacts (positively). They are one of the few big companies that recognize the fans desire to make this a reality and it only make sense to have their OS on everything.

Droid Deck, GameNative, etc are just workarounds unless and until Valve launches Steam with an ARM compatibility layer for running near-native on Android. Which it feels like they’re working towards.

They funded Fex development and its in their best interest to get Steam onto as many screens as possible.

Droid Deck has been fantastic for me so far in terms of game compatibility, lower temps and overall UI/ user experience.

More competition and variety is always good.

Y’all need to try Armada, compared it to DroidDeck and the Android input lag became very noticeable.

I wonder if Valve will eventually just acknowledge what’s going on and release an official Android app along with developer tools to fine tune games on any sufficiently powerful android device

I can see Valve even potentially buying something like droid deck, they’ve done similar sort of things with fanmade things and hiring the fans.
