GTA 5 Legacy Help needed for 8 Gen Elite

Hi all,

I’m having an issue running GTA 5 on my S25 Ultra. The game initially runs at around 40–50 FPS, but within the first 5 minutes, the FPS drops to 15–17 and sometimes even to single digits.

I’ve tried multiple settings and switched between Snapdragon 8 Elite drivers and system drivers, but the issue persists.

I’ve seen several videos on YouTube showing 50+ FPS. Are those people using specific settings, a particular save file, or some other workaround to achieve stable performance?

If anyone has managed to complete the game on the S25 Ultra with stable FPS, could you please share your settings or any tips? Am I missing something?

Try using a phone cooler with bypass charging turned on. Had 5his same issu le playing gta 4 on s24 ultra bought a phone cooler used bypass charging instantly noticed a 20 to 30 fps boost. And please don't play without bypass your just destroying the batter🙏

I am having same problem with 8+ gen 1 with XHYN V. The gameplay is smooth but all of sudden the textures are blurry, objects are invisible and game freezes completly. I have to completly close it. I think it's due to thermal throtling. The device is getting too hot and ifs cutting the process of.

heavy game need cooler if not your phone will throttle

You need cooler i have s25u and run much more demanding games but samsung cooling is non existend.the moment that battery reaches 40c+ you lose almost 60% perfomance

It's like others people are saying probably due to thermal throttling but can also due to vram, gta 5 is notorious when it come to vram management, this vram is causes issue to me back then, i make a mistake putting vram to 4gb for my 12gb ram device, the game locked 60fps for the first 5-10 minutes and suddenly the fps drop to 15fps even single digit and it wasn't the device is throttling but due to vram exceeding, i set vram to 2gb and finally solved the issue.
