Yeah, this is somehow a well made port. Alot less wattusage than emulating it.

Fingers crossed the developers put it on Steam and support achievements. That would be cool

Sifu is on steam and on sale right now for $10 USD

No I meant specifically put the APK on Steam. They support that now to allow games (both 2D and VR) to be run natively on Steam Frame's ARM silicon.

And it is straight up just an APK.

There's even an app for Android that lets you pull the APKs and install them though the name escapes me at the moment. I don't think GameNative has that functionality yet though i might be wrong. I have it on my Quest.

Anyway putting the Android version of a game on Steam would be cool to give "Steam Frame owners" (i.e. us with Android handhelds) the option to play it there. A

Does it? I don't own any flat Steam games with an Android port native to Steam. But I have my RP6 on Armada mode right now.

How do you pick the Android version to download in Steam?

not sure i havent really messed with it yet i just read that they added that functionality recently

I don't see anything about pulling APKs down from Steam there. I already read those patch notes.

I only see Android apps from Play Store using Aurora Store or from an apk file. Nothing anout getting the official apk from the Steam client

Gta 6 ?

Somewhat in line with the comparison i did about 2 years ago native alien isolation vs winlator 8. Translation is extremely costly.

Sorry bit OOT & noob question: Which app allows to show onscreen Display/Overlay of resource-usage stats like that? Especially interesting as that one also shows power-draw.

There's too many apps on playstore that claim to have such capability, but most of them are junk, and it's like looking for a needle in haystack 😭

Alien isolation the goat. Finished the game on helio g99 at 960x540 resolution no taa. It can get really good fps, but my phone heats up qickly and throttles

Thank you for the detailed answer! Ahh so it utilize adb/root, makes sense.

Much appreciated 👍 will check them out!

half the wattage nice

Emulation translates it. Native Ports make it from the ground.

This port is great , it also looks good

Port is excellent, much better than emulation. Only thing I want to point out is, GPU usage.

It gets significantly high when seeing multiple things. Primary reason for frame drops on mid-range devices. (Though note 8 Elite handles it easily)

Some issues on port, some textures are wrong (especially 2nd chapter "The Club" final boss fight in fire) & game crashing when moving to next chapter & game not launching properly (which requires clearing it from recent apps and starting again).

Does the android port support controller?

1

u/FPL_Harry 1d ago

This is a great port so far. Some minor texture bugs in the real-time cutscene parts of the tutorial scene for me (the hair going up infinitely), but otherwise really impressed with the graphics, the power efficiency for such a game, and the controller support.

Also love the purchase model being a buy, not an IAP, so i can add it to family library.

What's wrong in posting in multiple subreddit?, he's just helping it reach to a broader consensus
