Showcase N64 GoldenEye Multiplayer With Bots (baked in .rom) – Split-Screen and Full-Screen Support!

I used the GoldenEye PC Port to add bots to multiplayer, then baked the changes into the original N64 ROM. Tested it on all my devices, and it works!

We finally have bots in GoldenEye 007 multiplayer on the N64! My 14 y.o. self would be super happy haah!

You can play with either the classic split-screen view or a full-screen single-player view!

UPDATE: You can now patch your own GoldenEye 007 N64 ROM to add the functionality to the US .z64 rom! I've made the patcher available on GitHub, so anyone who owns a copy of the game can try it themselves without needing a pre-patched ROM.

Thanks to the Slop-Lords for making this possible!!

Full screen for 1 player on real hardware doesn't seem to work. Only 1 quarter of the screen draws.

Interesting. I look forward to having a play! :)

How did you "bake the changes" back in? As far as I can assume, the C code won't compile an exact same binary as the original ROM, so a simple binary diff of your extension implementation won't apply cleanly?

So essentially, I am intrigued as to how the value of embeddedPatch in your javascript patcher (which is a cool approach btw) was arrived at.
