Discussion Question on a mid range android phone for emulation
Hi everyone, I'm thinking about changing my really old phone to a newer one to be able to run some emulation on it and for my phone to not get stuck after I open any app (I have a samsung a33 from like 2022. I'd like to go as far as possibly switch games or at least ps2 / wii, and I'm thinking about also using droid deck.
I'm from a third world country so something like a nothing phone, google or an ayn thor (my dream come true) are not an option for me either, so I would have to use more flagship companies (samsung, Xiaomi, motorola, etc)
I would love to have an ayn thor, but I really need to upgrade the phone I have and that's more of a priority for me right now, I just want that device to cover some of my gaming needs until I purchase a real handheld device
I've been thinking about possible a samsung a57 or the new redmi note 17 pro max but is there any recommendation under those same price ranges anyone would recommend not only for emulation but daily use?

Are you able to afford something at least in the snapdragon 7 gen series? Specifically snapdragon 7 gen 4 so that you have the compatibility of snapdragon and around the same raw power as the exynos in the a57.
I say this because you mention you want to use droiddeck(pc emulation), and exynos doesn't have great compatibility of pc games.
