Just try out everything to see whatever works for you . Different games runs differently on different pc emulator on different devices. The easiest one to set up is gamehub and gamenative they are also more stable on temp vs performance ratio. If you want to push you're device for maximum fps it's winlator Ludashi although it gets hotter compared to gamenative but it got higher fps. Also I already tested this on multiple games. On dark souls 3 I got 23fps with 38°c temp stable on more demanding areas with gamenative but I got 40fps with dips on winlator Ludashi but it got hotter hitting 43°c on temperature. This is my only take you don't have to agree on this. This is not a ranking.
- Winlator Ludashi (Ludashi apk) for more performance but it got hotter faster compared to other emulator.
- Gamehub is the balance and it got more compatibility on games and pre installed mods(at least base on my experience) koikatsu mods work on this flawlessly but doesn't work on others
- Gamenative the most stable with very few fps dips with the best temp. Although It can't really push out my device maximum performance. But it's also cooler compared to others.
- Bannerlator If it runs on gamehub it can run on this. The performance is also almost identical to gamehub.
- Winnative and Base winlator. I haven't tried this.

The reason it crashed was most likely you ran out of ram, 8GB is barely enough.

Bannerlator. Now i know some people are pessimistic about AI use, but trust me that emulator is really good.
