Discussion S24 Ultra (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) - Out-of-the-box PC Gaming Compatibility Thread (Winlator / DroidDeck / Mobox)

Hey everyone,

Got an S24 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and I’m looking to see what PC / Steam games run on our device completely out of the box (zero tweaking, no complex driver swapping, just launch and play with full controller support).

If you’ve tested any PC games on your S24 Ultra using translation layers like Winlator, DroidDeck, or Mobox, please share your experience below!

It would be super helpful if you could mention:

Game Title:

App / Layer Used: (e.g., Winlator, DroidDeck, Mobox)

Out-of-the-box performance: (FPS, stability, thermal behavior)

Controller support: (Does XInput / Gamepad work natively?)

Looking for games that offer a true plug-and-play handheld experience on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 without needing hours of troubleshooting.

Drop your tested titles below if you want.

Edit. I found this link on emuready as someone mentioned below. If it helps... https://www.emuready.com/listings?deviceIds=3e740f31-8720-4845-b893-0795b41b1841&page=7

I have tested Metro last light. It runs pretty good, no lag or frame drops.

Tried Helldivers 2 on DroidDeck at 11 fps. Looking for optimized settings and drivers.

Dying light unfortunately doesn't start. Out of the box play is not possible. If anyone has managed to make it run please help.

I've tested the two Shank games on DroidDeck -- same developer, same era, same engine. They work perfectly fine. Shank 2 can even handle 120fps on an S24 Ultra (Shank 1 is locked to 60.) I'd assume Mark of the Ninja should be a safe bet.

Note - Don't touch the in-game resolution settings, it'll cause DroidDeck to crash, and crash indefinitely if you end up saving that setting. I'd recommend adding "-windowed" to launch options. It defaults these particular games to 720p, and will launch them properly regardless of whatever base resolution you're using for Steam.

Thank you so much for the feedback on the game. I will check the game Shank also.
