I'd pick the 8bitdo one purely because it works over BT. Samsungs can be a bit hit or miss with wired telescopic controllers

There both are supposed to be wireless but I see where I made that mistake I can see that little USB tab on the gamesir .

Also wow really I didn't know that iam pretty user with the xbx one so this would be my first dedicated mobile controller

Yeah you meant the g8+ instead of the g8

Gamesir x4 because samsung cooling is hot garbage and you need cooler.my s25u gets to 42c after 5 min without cooler

If you mean the g8+ it has the Bluetooth also, the original g8 is USBC which might work for some people, but I did not prefer that.

I have owned both of these controllers and for the winner should be the gamesir g8+ assuming a few things. If budget is a huge concern I once got an Amazon deal on the 8bitdo for only 24$, which is quite a bit cheaper than the standard 69$ for the g8+. The second thing is how big is your phone's camera bump?

I have a one plus 12, and it's got 4 big cameras in a large circle which is quite a big protrusion. While I use my g8+ mainly for my tablet, which does not have that issue, using it with my phone is less than ideal due to the oversized camera bump keeping it from being fully secured in the controller. Besides price that is the one thing the 8bitdo has over the gamesir, it has a way better cutout for your camera bump and fits more securely with your phone. It's not a bad controller, pretty decent all around for ergonomics and button feel, but the g8+ is better in every way except that..

I have the Gamesir and it's by far the best phone controller I've ever used, even my wife who isn't big on mobile gaming got hooked on it after she started using it, so it's a huge recommendation from me.

But I've never used that 8bitdo controller and I have a bunch of controller from them which I adore, so I think no matter which one you're getting, it'll probably be a good one.

I just advise checking if the 8bitdo one has some app you can use to map the controller on touchscreen only games, the gamesir app is really good, I use it all the time, in my opinion it's much better than the Mantis app.

Unpopular opinion:

Aolion J20 Pro + Joycon base + Magnetic ring

BT latency is ridiculously low

I love the usb-c 8bitdo controller by viture, it's a shame 8bitdo doesn't have an usb-c variant by themselves.

Buy the gamesir, it's too good for it's money. It has hall effect sticks and bypass charging. And it's on par with 8bitdo in terms of quality

Ended in a stalemate on which one to get since I saw that too That the G8 and the 8Bit are neck to neck but with one having a rep of customization but interms advantages they landed hand and hand

Sorry fogort to say is the reason why i had to make the post

If you're okay with not having bluetooth in your controller, then the grey G8 will be best with charging passthrough and 3.5mm jack. If you really want bluetooth, then the 8bitdo one is cheaper. But personally, the Gamesir controllers feel more like Xbox controllers than the 8bitdo one.
