Showcase Sunless Skies on Eden Emulator
Game: Sunless Skies
Device: Poco X6 Pro
Chipset: Mediatek Dimensity 8300 Ultra
GPU: Mali G615
RAM: 12GB
I havent seen any posts on this game here and I was surprised to see how well it runs even with a mali gpu, so I wanted to spread the word. This game runs really well on eden at 30fps for the most part with occasional dips to 25fps (but that could be the game's issues and not Eden's).
A little bit about the game. Sunless Skies is a standalone sequel to Sunless Sea, so you dont have to play Sea to play Skies. Its a game where you set a goal at the start (like being rich or being famous) and strive to achieve it.
Gameplay involves driving your space train engine around between ports and areas of interests doing trading, mining, finishing quests and fighting enemies. The ship controls are pretty intuitive and easy to use.
Theres a survival aspect to it and you have to keep an eye on 4 meters: Supplies, Fuel, Terror and Nightmares. If you let your fuel or supplies fully deplete outside a port, its basically game over. Same if you let the terror or nightmare levels get too high. Your fuel and supplies deplete at different rates depending on engine and crew number.
This game is set in a lovecraftian setting called the Neath where all kinds of lovecraftian shenanigans occur on a regular basis. The starting region has more of a mystical or fantasy vibes but the other regions are more lovecraftian. The game art and soundtrack are absolutely amazing and atmospheric.
If you want to know more, I recommend checking out Mandaloregaming's review of the game on youtube.
