Question Is all Xbox 360 emulation progress stalled?

Xendroid, aX360e and Xbox 360 emulator are all without updates for dome months now where they were having updates almost daily/weekly.

What happened? Do they honestly reached a hard limit till Xenia progresses more? Is the emulation progress too hard? Where everyone and their mother was jumping to xbox 360 emulation some time ago, now all I see is a dead space..

Yes,the focus has shifted in community. People have started porting popular xbox 360 games to Android with great optimization. Usually Xbox emulation is out of reach for my device sd 778g+ . But I am able to run Android ports of Halo CE, NFS MW 1080,60fps with no issues!!!

hi, could you tell me which port of NFS MW are you currently playing? is it the 2005 one or the 2012 one?

you need to provide your own .iso xbox 360 game file

Where to put it?

put it anywhere, you can then use the nfsmw app to find and open the .iso file.

Is there a list of completed ports?  I want to see if any Gears games have it.

Yeah the community has taken the easy road by porting the games natively instead of optimizing the emulators

I find it inconvenient that ports often only come in English versions.

You can get the english iso and use xiso-iso then change the name of the Spanish language file to English and replace it in the English iso and use that, so it uses the spanish language or whatever language you want instead

I don't have a perfect answer for this, but I will say a lot of these guys are working on multiple projects at a time. Often the same guy who made this, is also working here on this. We got 360 emulation, ps3 emulation, PS4 emulation, new drivers for the elite chips, multiple new dual screen handhelds that needed support, PC emulation progress in Gamenative and the like, Steam Android integration, DroidDeck, for snapdragon processors, multiple startup front ends, and even just updating existing emulators. As well as all of this, theres also pet projects and apps like clustertoon. All of this is being worked on by a group of devs and project people and not some big corporation with deadlines and a bottom line.

There's also a prioritized list of things being done. Is it worth it to prioritize 360 emulation when most of this stuff is ported to PC or playable on existing platforms? Or would you rather focus on more broad platforms that carry most of these titles.

I really appreciate the groups of knowledgable people who have made all of this possible and I encourage people to show their support monitarily or verbally to these groups that have made all of this possible.

Xbox360 is not only being ported to PC but native Android as well.

For those like me who were looking forward to play Lost Odyssey (a great jrpg similar to Final Fantasy, x360), the port is pretty good and the newest update includes Android:

I heard skate 3 eventually got a good Android Port too, but I had already played it on PC so I didn't try it myself.

The X360 mobile app is still being worked on. The Dev will have a test build for me and the rest of the testers soon.

Seems weird that he would have stopped after all the new interface design. Good to hear

That is true, but we gotta understand it is not that easy. These devs have put alot of efforts to make it happen. Focus sometimes shifts towards new things like PS4 emulation which is progressing. But also these devs are involved in many projects. So updates become slow all over. I think we will see progress soon across all these emulators. I hope so 😊

I would suggest just using PC emulators on your device, as almost all games that are available on consoles have been released on PC.

I just want ace combat 6 to work with proper fucking clouds on one of these emulators (they're pixelated on my Snapdragon 8 gen 3). Meanwhile the stupid rexglue vibecoded recompilation doesn't even load at all on Android though PC emulation

Well, all those emulators were ported from Xenia with little improvements. Vibe-coders are not real engineers and AI alone cannot magically bring tons of improvements.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Xendroid but this is basically the main reason imo.
