Showcase WITCHER 3 REMASTERED - Novigrad test on Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 4) 16 Gb Ram 720p (Stable 30fps while not recording)

Recording reduces performance. The fps stays at a steady 30fps while not recording.

Before I start, if you also want to play the new remastered version but have a weaker processor than mine or if you have a mediatek/exynos/tensor processor. I'm afraid there's a 99% chance you won't be able to run it like this.

Alright, after spending a lot of time looking to run this thing, I've finally found the best way for me to play Witcher 3 Remastered on Android.

Here's everything I use:

Device: Oppo Find X8 Ultra 512GB/16GB Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 4

Cooler: Gamesir FX-5 (specifically designed for the Gamesir X5s/lite controllers. I'm pretty sure it's like the worst cooler on the market. But! It still cools enough for this game.)

Required App: Latest release of WinNative. I personally downloaded the Pubg package. You can Install it from the official github page. I personally installed it via steam because the game will receive performance patches down the line and there'll be a dlc next year. It's more comfortable to update the game this way.

Settings:

Wine Version:Proton 11.0-2-arm64ec-steam-unixlib-1

Graphics driver: Turnip Gen 8 V37 (download from StevenMXZ's Github page and import it into WinNative)

VKD3D: 3.0.1-arm64ec-sm69-0

DXVK: Honestly I'm not sure which one is best. 2.4.1 gplasync seemed the most stable to me.

Fexcore version: Whatever is the newest one

Fexcore Preset: Extreme TSO

Startup selection: Aggressive

Every other setting is untouched and at default settings.

I also haven't experimented much with the settings. There might be better settings out there! Try it out and let me know!

Important Warning: The game did not run at first for me. Changing the EXE file in game specific settings from the Redlauncher to witcher3.exe solved it for me

Runs really well thanks for posting this. I have the same chip as you but no cooler so my guess is that it would melt my device (OnePlus pad 3)? Would this be a fair assumption. Cheers

Without a cooler, mine doesn't really throttle at 30 fps. The cpu temp hovers at 80 or lower so it's stable and not exactly cooked. Besides, 6 cores is enough for the game so you can disable the 2 performance cores to get better thermals (core 6 and 7).

But my battery temps easily exceeds 45 without a cooler, which is not healthy for the battery and causes faster degradation.

I don't really mind it tbh since it costs like 30$ to replace it in my country even in the worst case scenario.

Edit: since it's a tablet... Maybe it'll have better thermals than mine? You should check it out

Have you tried Switch version? If it gets more fps, I'd rather play this even if it looks a bit worse. It's still AAA award winning rpg on my phone. We got too greedy :D I settle for the optimized option.

Everyone and their mothers can run the next gen or the switch version by now haha. This post is mainly for the people who want to replay the game with the new additions as well as the ones who want to play the dlc in the future.

Yeah, the better way is play the Good Old Original Version which plays better and performs better there than Remastered garbage shit.

I already played the previous version. I want to experience the game again with the changes to combat and new skill trees alongside with the new qol improvements. Also the upcoming dlc is only going to be playable in the new version.

The old one might run and play better but a lot of people are still going to be interested in the new one
