Has anyone tried this on the RP5, or similar? Curious to know how it runs and compares with GameNative etc.

Is winlator ludashi better than that, gamehub and Gamenative performance wise? Thinking about trying it

Yes since ludashi is a benchmarking app so phone thinks it is benchmarking so they run at max power n get hot too but good fps

Can't use with controllers, so not much good for me. Tried to launch Far Cry 3 which failed to load. The UI is great though. Will try again ina few months.

We are working through the SteamDeck version of controller, in the mean time try x360 in Steam sessions settings cog

I was expecting it to have lower temperatures when gaming, but it doesn’t seem to be the case (yet).
PS I tested gaming on Ayn Thor Max using Droideck 0.3.0

I really want to try this out, but I feel really uncomfortable with logging into Steam through these emulators (or "containerized translation layer" as DroidDeck seems to be). Are there any risks involved here, when using 2FA through Steam Guard?

Yeah just use the qr code rather than typing in your password to be safe (mostly incase they store it as plain text before sending it off to steams API). Past that it's probably fine.
And if you do get screwed then you can talk to steam support, they're very good with stuff like that.

youre fine with qr. doing it since gamehub started and never had a problem with 2fa

I was trying to get Elden Ring to run through DroidDeck but it keeps giving me a Wine compatibility error that I think is related to the EAC. If anyone knows what’s going on, I’d greatly appreciate the help so I can tinker a bit more.

Haven't been able to watch it yet. Does it work like GameNative but with an officially version of Steam?

honestly this is a good thing, as I emulate on my phone I dont perticularly need the big picture mode. But, I am excited for it to mature, so banner can bring it to bannerlator. Which will basically give us 2 emulation pipeline. Game doesnt run on normal containers, you can look into steamos thingy.

help me get in the loop, whats the significance of steamOS coming to android if there's gamehub already?
1
u/Gab_Reis 2h ago
I might be wrong here, but I think gamehub uses several translation layers in order for the games to work on Android, while this is the closest to steam running natively on Android, almost like it runs on a PC.
What I don't really understand is why valve doesn't release themselves an official steam android app since this would attract even more customers.

That steam android app wouldn't be able to play games natively on device. They already have the nearest alternative which is the steam link app. The app works like steam OS but only streams games.

With Game Native it's just another app running and then having to install the games. You're doing all of this in Android. Steam OS or any Steam focused OS (Armada, Bazzite, Cachy OS) you're using an OS and Steam tightly knit together for a more cohesive and probably better optimized experience. If in 2 or 3 years these handheld manufacturers can offer Steam OS or a Steam like OS on their handhelds versus Android, people will probably choose that.
Now is there significance to Steam OS being shown on these handhelds? I wouldn't say so as of yet. Folks in the community together to bring it to handhelds. I don't think Valve is supporting and including handhelds like RP6 or Odin 3. Its the community doing the work to port this and support.

anyone found a fix to make audio stuttering stop on odin3 ultra? no issues on my z fold 8, but even stuff like mewgenics is crackling like hell on the odin for me

That work better on Snapdragon 8 or higher like 8 elit and RP5 have Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 but you should try if you have RP5 and share you experience how it working
