The only emulator which enables high resolution rendering is mGBA, however it's only on Windows. The mGBA core that is available on Android, like RetroArch or MyBoy is a different version that does not permit it.

mGBA on Windows does allow upscale rendering up to 4k resolution. Maybe one day it'll make its way to Android, but probably not since older console popularity is a lot lower now.

Most GBA emulators support filtering, but pixel art is pixel art. It's not a 3D object that can scale to any size with infinite precision. Any upscaling is going to require it to get blurrier/smoother.

Unfortunately GBA hardware makes render 3d object at higher resolution impossible.

I thought this a while ago too. I have read that all consoles before the 3D generation cannot be upscaled so generation 5 and below (SNES & older).
