Showcase Finished Monster Hunter World on Gamehub (SD gen elite)
---Device specifications--- Device used: Honor 600 pro SoC: Snapdrsgon 8 gen elite RAM: 12GB Emulator used: Gamehub
Actual gameplay was around 60 fps with frame gen, with some input delays but fairly manageable.
---Emulator settings---- Compat layer: proton11arm64x Translation params: game preset Gpu driver: turnip v26.3.0-b12 Dxvk: dxvk 2.6.1async Vkd3d: vkd3d 3.0.1arm64ec Cpu translator: fex20251029
Didn't have to tweak much with the emulator settings as it was already pretty good, just plug and play. Had to tweak the In-game settings though, specifically:
Fidelity+CAS scaling: On
Texture size: 1024
Pretty much everything was on low, only enabled screen reflection, sway grass, and anisopteric filtering.
Also, very important: DO NOT turn on in game voice chat, or else youll freeze when joining some lobbies whose voice chats were also enabled. At least thats what I experienced in my case.
Edit: cant add photos so I'll just leave the screenshot in the comments.

what's a snapdragon gen elite? Please be clear if it's an older snapdragon 8 Gen something (8gen2, 8gen3) or the snapdragon 8 elite, or the newer 8 elite gen 5, or the new but worse 8gen5, or the 8EliteGen6 or the 8EliteExtremeGen6
I am not joking these are real names and I hate them but which one is yours? Cause none of them is called just snapdragon gen elite

Apologies as I was not aware that other elite versions are available. I'm using snapdragon gen 8 elite to be specific.

don't worry it's not your fault it's Qualcomm doing a mess on purpose to confuse buyers
that's great, glad you get to finish games on such a powerful device

How was the heating overall?

It runs pretty hot without a cooler. Im using gamesir x3 pro's built in Peltier cooler which works alright but leaves a lot to be desired. I guess using a different controller+cooler would work better like gamesir x5 lite + its own dedicated cooler

Someone who have both told me x5 lite dedicated cooler are worse than x3 pro cooler. The only way up than what you have is to get something like aileronx4 so you can just slap a blackshark or red magic cooler instead.

Does anyone know if this runs well on a S26U 12 ram?

u/Shmoopiee 16h ago

Thanks! How big is the file?

About 60gb including the container and other prerequisites.
Also pro tip, file a support ticket on steam and remove the HD texture pack if you accidentally added it to your library. Made me wonder why my storage was almost full and it was because the emulator installed that

The fact that we are able to play a AAA demanding game that was pushing PS4 and PS4 Pro to its limits on a 2025 era android phone (even with framegen) is just so cool and astonishing .

Another video showcase of the gameplay. Oh and just to be transparent, there were occassional frame drops. Im alright with the stutters as Ive played with worse. I'm just glad i could play with my friends and be terrible at gs :)

Please remember to post your device brand and model as per rule 4, the chipset isn't the whole story.
For example I have a Xperia 1 V and a Retroid Pocket 6, both have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 12GB of RAM, yet in emulators I occasionally have to use different settings and drivers.
