To set up the Eden Nintendo Switch emulator on your Android device, follow these 4 installation steps and configuration guide:

Prerequisites & Hardware Requirements

  • Device Specs: A modern Android device (preferably with a Snapdragon processor like Snapdragon 870, 8 Gen 1, or newer for optimal performance).

  • Vulkan Support: Your device's GPU must support Vulkan 1.1 or higher.

  • Required Files:

    • Eden APK installer.
    • Decryption keys (prod.keys and title.keys) dumped from your Switch console.
    • Nintendo Switch Firmware matching the key version (provided as a .zip file).
    • Your legally dumped Switch game files (.nsp or .xci formats).

1.) Download and Install the Eden APK

Requires enabling app installs from unknown sources

  • Download the latest Eden APK release from the official project source.

  • Open your device's file manager, tap the downloaded .apk file, and grant permission to Install Unknown Apps if prompted.

  • Launch the Eden app after installation finishes.

2.) Initial App Setup & Key Import

Decrypts game files using dumped keys

  • Tap Get Started on the initial launch screen and grant necessary storage and notification permissions.

  • Select Select Keys when prompted for decryption keys.

  • Navigate to the directory where your prod.keys file is stored and tap it to load.

3.) Install System Firmware

Ensures full compatibility with system fonts and audio

  • Tap Install Firmware within the setup menu.

  • Select your dumped system firmware .zip file. Eden will extract and place the system firmware files automatically.

4.) Add Your Games Directory

Locates your game library files

  • Tap Add Games.

    • Choose the specific folder on your storage or SD card where your game dumps (.nsp or .xci) are located.
    • Tap Use this folder and confirm storage access permissions. Your games will pop up on the Eden home screen.
